Apr 12, 2015An entertaining classical FPS/roguelike hybrid with lots of weapons, unlockables and secrets: a welcome departure from the modern story-based cinematic shooters.
-
Apr 27, 2015Tower of Guns is a nice application of the roguelike formula to the first-person shooter genre.
-
Apr 21, 2015Tower of guns is an insane marriage between an old school fps and the randomness of a roguelike. Fun, fast and punishing, it will test your skill without spoiling the fun. The perfect game if you don't have much time, despite some bugs.
-
Apr 9, 2015It’s a fun game that rises above any frustrations it may cause to create a memorable experience.
-
Apr 25, 2015I had fun with Tower of Guns, but it's the kind of game that is best enjoyed in relatively short bursts.
-
Apr 17, 2015Tower of Guns is a pretty fun rogue-like first-person shooter that manages to blend these two different genres together for an entertaining experience. However, it's best served as a palate cleanser between different games, as going through the title too often brings into question its repetitive gameplay and level design.
-
Apr 14, 2015A FPS packaged with fast paced action that reminiscent of the greatest classics of the nineties. Sadly, it gets old so fast due to its lack of content.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKJun 27, 2015Not a game to be played for hours on end, Tower of Guns is still a fun and rewarding shooter, albeit one that takes a little time to really appreciate. [Issue#125, p.84]
-
May 8, 2015Tower of Guns is a tribute to the cakewalk. The deadly tower, Tower of Guns' playground, is full of booby traps and weird enemies that change every time you start the game. Unfortunately after a few hours, the game isn't that challenging anymore.
-
Apr 17, 2015It is not just the frustration that comes with the randomly filled and arranged levels and the difficulty spikes that can occur that harm this nonetheless entertaining roguelite shooter. It is rather the technical hiccups that you wouldn’t expect on current console systems.
-
Apr 10, 2015Tower of Guns does have an element of fun thanks to its randomized levels and simple premise, but it’s a game best consumed a little at a time. While a few gamers may enjoy the game enough to play it often, most will see Tower of Guns as a momentary distraction to be experienced for a few minutes, then left to wait for a later date.
-
Apr 14, 2015It's certainly a riot of a shooter that encourages you to get out there and blast away rather than cry behind cover, but it's lasting appeal is diminished by a lack of depth and some flimsy level design.
-
Apr 10, 2015An interesting take on the FPS genre, the game feels like a cross between a more traditional shooter and a gameshow.
