I used to love this game. I would have given it a 7 or 8 during its heyday but now it is almost unplayable. Ubisoft has abandoned it and it being an always online game spells trouble. You can't go 20 minutes without being disconnected from the server. Very frustrating. This game was great but now I cannot recommend. I wish they'd make a third one instead of this BR Hearltand game.

Really dull game. Just walk around a huge open world and shoot people with generic and unsatisfying gunplay. The game is also supposed to be one of these "looter shooters". A thing I find very overrated and boring in today's games, so that doesn't help this game for me either. The only games that make finding stuff actually fun are games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls. The only good thing about this game for me is the ability to skip cutscenes. I couldn't care less about the story in these modern games that try to depict an overly realistic storyline and are filled with forgettable and boring-looking characters. So at least the game lets you focus on the gameplay and forget about everything else. I just like my games with fun and unique gameplay...and badass storylines with iconic-looking characters. But I doubt you can expect that from mentally impaired developers who even seem to think that gender is simply a body type lol. Expand

In conclusion I would advise playing the fist division before the second because more will make sense and the game will certainly be easier. Expand

The devs take their sweet time to change or fix anything, even critical game breaking issues. 3+ years after launch the game IS STILL SO DAMN BUGGY. There is just no excuse. The worst implementation I’ve seen in many many games, and I wonder why they even shipped the game with PVP existing in any form at all. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Maybe I've just gotten lucky in regards that I haven't had many issues with bugs. I've had the occasional NPC get stuck somewhere but it's been a while since that's happened. Otherwise I've thoroughly enjoyed the base game as well as all the expansions that have been released. If you were a fan of the first division 2 game im pretty confident that you'll enjoy the 2nd game and it's expansions. The only time I ever was disgruntled with the game is after you spend hours slowly taking back the whole map and then beat the main storyline line a new gang called the black tusks come into town and the whole map goes back to red and you instantly lose all control points and basically everything. I was like "Noooooo!" Expand

Literally the only game I’ve played since it’s released. Certainly has had some frustrating elements since launch, but honestly the developers have worked them out to the point where I can’t really see any reason not to give it a 10 out of 10. Ubisoft did a great job. The Division 2 is a great looter-shooter that has a ton of activities to do in the endgame and the leveling phase is also enjoyable. The gameplay feels smooth, graphics are gorgeous, the game runs in flawless 60fps (after Feb2021 patch) on Xbox Series X.

    The Division 2 (Review 06.04.2019)

"Played through", I have reached the endgame and can definitely rate the way there. I liked it very much, Part 1 was still a failure for me, I didn't play it again later. Part 2 actually makes everything better and after a day and 19 hours I had done all the side and story missions. The story itself is not worth mentioning, but I personally don't

The story itself is not worth mentioning, but I personally don't care.

The gameplay feels phenomenally good and has seen some really coherent improvements. Loot addiction is huge here.

Technically, it runs almost flawlessly on the One X and looks incredibly great. Only sometimes textures pop up here and there. In addition, the facial expressions bothered me a bit in the cutscenes and some non-mountable objects (e.g. curbs, etc.). It is also very annoying that your own agent does not have a flashlight and again does not speak.

I actually still have a lot of content in front of me that I will look at gradually. Division is now my game.

The game is getting 8/10 tech boxes, at least for now. In addition to the final content, which I have yet to discover, I also have to try out the Dark Zones and PvP. There is a lot to this game.

One of the worst games that i have played.

It is boring, generic, repetitive, the argument sucks, the open word sucks, everithing sucks in this game.

The Division 2 may be making a mess on Tom Clancy's grave by betraying his highly conservative values, but what is here is a very competent and polished third-person open-world action game with a big emphasis on co-op. The value in this package is seemingly nigh on endless with the amount of things to do and see. Even the core gameplay loop, though simplistic, is satisfying enough to keep things stimulating, even when they feel monotonous at times. Just when things feel the most tedious, the end game content really mixes things up in a big way to reinvigorate the formula.

For what it’s worth, The Division 2 is a fine game. It’s finely tuned, looks gorgeous in 4K, plays like I would have hoped, and just takes a great idea and improves on it. Co-op is the way to go, and solo players will still have some fun with it, but it will be a more difficult romp. Massive has shown they listened to their fans and wanted to make a game that the players wanted to see and they did just that. It’s a great shooter, great RPG, and well worth the time for anyone looking for a rewarding adventure.

Not only is The Division 2 a solid gaming experience, but it's one that Ubisoft plans to continually support over time. We've already seen the beginning of that support, and there is no indication that it'll let up. Whether you are a solo player or someone ready to jump in with a squad of friends, The Division 2 is a game you don't want to miss.
