    there was halo, then gears of war, then titanfall. every generation xbox dominates and rejuvenates with shooters. those who graded it as a 0 never played the game and are sourpuss sony fanboys. if the game were on the playstation 4 most people would be grading it as 10/10

    If you're an FPS fan, you will absolutely love this game. Anyone claiming that Titanfall is 'boring' has obviously never played the game and is a troll. The gameplay is frantic and adrenaline-filled, while also feeling very fresh and innovative compared to recent AAA FPS games. I have never said "Xbox, record that!" as many times playing another game. Titanfall truly is a masterpieceIf you're an FPS fan, you will absolutely love this game.     I've had a great time over the last 2 days playing this. Every online match I play, something cooler and cooler happens. I don't know the last time I enjoyed a multiplayer game this much.

    Titanfall is an overwhelmingly addictive MP shooter! The refinements and balancing are the best at launch for any FPS in a very long time. I was dubious of the AI bots in the battlefield, but they truly bring a great dynamic to this game. The only major fault I have with the game is the lack of content. The multiplayer is spectacular to be sure, and I will be playing this for months,Titanfall is an overwhelmingly addictive MP shooter!     This game is pretty fun. The art direction is pretty good, but the graphics are not quite the next-gen experience I was looking for. I'll definitely keep playing for a couple more weeks.

    Awesome game! Really enjoy it, I can already tell I'm going to spend hundreds of hours with my buddies on this gem. Really recommend it, definitely the best first person shooter on next gen!

    Fun, Exciting and Much More! No campers, no lag issues and best of all you have a fast paced shooter. So many things going on at once. It's awesome!!!

    Titanfall is a great game. I wish it had physical character customization since it is lacking in other departments but overall I've had a blast playing it. I really enjoy stringing together a nice wall run combo and make it across the map really quickly. Don't believe the 10 or 0 reviews...If you have a Xbox One, 360, or PC, and enjoy FPS, there is no reason not to get this game.

    I find it interesting to see some of the obvious fake low scores to this game. Reading the content posted shows complete lack of knowledge of what Titan fall is. A Fast paced, action packed, well balanced fps. Titan fall has given me a reason to come back to FPS after years of repetitive contend served by Dice and Activision. Respawn has created a foundation for a great game that can ANDI find it interesting to see some of the obvious fake low scores to this game.     The game would be a 9/10 were it not for the playstation fanboys rating this down en masse. The same thing happened with Company of Heroes 2, which was admittedly mediocre, but it was rated regardless of the quality of the game and ended up with 1.8/10. This is similar. 6.0/10 is terrible. T

    This game is fun. If you like shooters, and you like fun, then this is an easy purchase. People are complaining about the lack of single player. They didn't make one because the majority of their player base for COD was people like me. I've played at least 200+ hours of every single COD and I never launched any of the single players, except for the first black ops. Sorry about that. If youThis game is fun.     Really great game. Action is non stop. Very balanced on both pilot and titan loadouts. I've played through campaign multiple times and have had a blast every time. The only thing I believe to be wrong with the game is the smart pistol. Very OP in my honest opinion, but I can live with it. It has been talked about since day one, that it was made by the original creators of COD. So yes Its online, yes it has features from COD, are you retarded?     After playing the Beta I had to get the full version. Its a lot of fun and pretty easy coming from bf4. I find it very similar to the game play in Halo, except you can pilot a Titan obviously. Id recommend this game to anyone that is looking for an easy/fun fps.

    I really didn't know what to expect when I first started titanfall. I knew that I was tired of cod and bf. titans all is not a major change but it is new and fresh and I applaud respawn for doing something different.

    I have played both alpha, beta and now the final version. Each have shown steady significant improvement. innovative take on fps. fast paced but full of strategy easy to pick up and play competently by challenging to truly master. much more nuanced game than many realize.

    This is a great game that brings new life to the fps genre. It does feel like call of duty for the controls, but I have no problems with that. The titans are fun, the wall running is great, the weapons work well, and I have not found a single bug in the game.     The game does however have a bit of a lack of content. There aren't very many guns and many of them aren't worth using. Semi autos go mostly unused because the speed of the game makes them difficult to use. The burst fire gun falls under the same level. It's not that they are bad guns, just not good for the speed of the game. I would also like to see more game modes. A king of the hill mode would work, or a game mode like team defender from CoD with the movement system could be fun. I know some of these game modes wouldn't be highly played but still fun.

Which is ridiculous, you can't fault a game for not going with the norm of all multiplayer games having a single player storyline, I don't fault Skyrim for having no multiplayer, so why should Titanfall by faulted for having no single player. The answer is it shouldn't.

    Titanfall design choices have really made a unique game, and these choice have been the criticism of faults mostly by people who've never played the game. They complain about bots, but the bots are mostly just part of the environment, you don't fault game for intractable object within the multiplayer match.

    Pro

    Fluid Game (Parkour movements are solid, and the Titans feel great)
    Best Balanced (Nothing seems overpowered or underpowered)
    Great Maps (15 maps is the most we've seen in a while from any game, and they all are pretty unique)

    Cons

    Sometimes labels don't appear fast enough above players, I'm shooting at my team grunt for a while in till it finally appears, but then its gives away my postion.

    short list of game modes, they have all the basics, but I'd like to see a pilot only mode.

    This game is great! The multiplayer brings a whole new aspect to first person shooters, and you will be playing it for hours on end. The campaign is fun, but is only multiplayer, and there is nearly no story throughout. You never really get to understand the world of Titanfall. It is still a great game and worth 60$.

    I'll admit I was one of the haters on this game. But when I actually picked it up, I felt as though I've been missing out for the last 6 months. This is probably the best FPS ever. At least since COD 4. I only wish for a single player campaign though. But the way it's done is interesting at best, and credit is due for at least trying something new.

The game is amazing, the only problem I find with this game is the weapons there are available and the generally thing are the in this game, if you ask me there are to few things you can unlock for 10 generations. (weapons for pilots and titans, tiers, secondary, and so on)

    around 11-15 weapons that's it. I find it a disappointed thing.

    Single Player should't be focused on, it's a fresh idea a campaign in Online, but the problem is that you can focus on the Campaign because you are more focused not to lose to the other team, you don't really listen to the dialogue and the small cut-scenes (up in the right corner)

    The game is cool, and doesn't deserve below 6. It's fast paced and you are entertained.

    The last thing I found annoying is that you found more BOTS than players in this game, it can be frustrating sometimes, but worth the price and I recommend the game, just hope they will add new weapons in the future, or this game can die quickly.    … Expand

Finished "campaign" in three hours. But its purely made online multiplayer, and yes i miss a good campaign, halo will be second to none.     Titanfall brings the perfect combination of fast-paced FPS and strategic FPS. Unlike many other games (Cough-cough) they keep the game fast paced by adding in CPUs, which also add a sense of accomphlishment for players that arent necessarily as talented as others. In the end, its worth the $60 much more than any other game than you will probably buy this year.

Nothing new here , Starhawk already had Mechs with infantry and a game called Gunz and Brink already came with parkour and wall running .     Absolutely outstanding! Many people who gave this game 1 are obviously PlayStation gamers who are jealous that they cannot experience such a wonderful gift from Respawn Entertainment! As an Xbox One gamer, I would hereby state, that I feel honored to have that game inside of my disc tray every day! It's definitely worth it!

    Love this game haven't put it down. The wife even said it looked awesome. And she only likes mario. I look forward to playing video games for once. 9.5 my ten is reserved for batman AK.

    I read that this the first next gen game to look forward to so when I heard of the beta I signed up and I got a good few days playing out of that and I was sold on it then, I had grown tired of FPS, especially Call of Duty, this is a refreshing and and benchmark setting game and I will pick it up and play a few game of it for a long time.

    A fun fast paced game with a dash of giant robots! Great shooter that I can't see getting old any time soon. Would be great to have an update with building damage thanks to my towering Titan! Now back to the fun on the X1

    The thrill of moving arround at such high speeds brings back very fond memories of Quake and URT, its fast and frantic transitioning from mech to pilot is a sinch, and very enjoyable you can mix it up once you get the hang of jumping from wall to zipline to titan to roof. there is a lot of fun to be had and its very difficult to put down. however you will need to take breaks from this every so often. partly because of fatigue and partly because of sensory overload. 15 maps comes with the game and 3 packs planned for the future. this game deserves to be recognized about how good it play. graphicly if you have a capable pc, you can flip all your sentting onto max and it is beautiful, interestingly the game is runing on a heavily modified source engine. and you can feel the years of excellent gameplay heritage within the game.

    Fast paced action on a whole new level. Can't wait to see where future installments take us. Haven't used all the weapons yet but looking forward to play with them. This game will definitly hold me over till Destiny and Halo 5 drop.

    Amazing game. Definitely is an evolution of everything that was great about COD and adds in some sweet Sci-Fi aspects. The mech (Titan) combat is pretty hectic (in a good way), and you'll be running on excitement when inside one. The downside is that that part of the game doesn't last long because there are many other titans around you looking to destroy you.

    I actually have the most    Amazing game. Definitely is an evolution of everything that was great about COD and adds in some sweet Sci-Fi aspects. The mech (Titan) combat is pretty hectic (in a good way), and you'll be running on excitement when inside one. The downside is that that part of the game doesn't last long because there are many other titans around you looking to destroy you.

    I actually have the most fun when outside the mechs and using weapons to take down other mechs. Also, jumping on titan's backs to destroy them is pretty sweet (Halo-esque).

    It's a fast-paced and energetic game, and anyone who enjoys FPS will enjoy this game. Looking forward to years of fun with this game.    … Expand

    This being the best multiplayer shooter I have came across in years. Bringing me back to the days of Halo 2 and 3 online. I rate this game for what it has not what is not offered. I can only hope the future of this IP will bring some in depth story telling for years to come.

    This game features great innovations without forgetting the great "fan service" for all fans of "Mechas".

    The "gameplay" is certainly what most stands out, really making you feel like a giant robot would handle. No need of an incoherent story and just the great online multiplayer.

    In the graphics looks great although not totally in HD and the sound envelop you with their details everywhere.

    There is nothing compared to the feeling of the parkour system in Titanfall... It's awesome, and I have no idea why this wasn't thought of earlier. To me, parkour makes this game; it is what makes it fun to me.. and it almost fully makes me forget any flaws, at least while I'm playing. The addition of mechs also just adds that complete change in dynamic, it brings chaos (a good chaos).

    Titanfall is definitely a unique FPS, and doesn't feel anything like any game before it. However, there are some underlining flaws (it's not a perfect 10). I agree with the dismissal of the campaign; FPS have a bad history of throwing on clunky/unimaginative story modes, which only take away from the multiplayer development. However, if you're going to take away the campaign, you need to apply that extra energy/development towards the multiplayer experience. There should be a massive amount of game modes, and complete customization of everything. This is the only area Titanfall lacks.. there's very little customization of characters/titans (other than load out), not a massive selection of weapons either (adequate, but not plentiful). With a multiplayer mode only, I expect an onslaught of weapons, maps, and customization. I'd say Titanfall is 80% there on the map count, 50% on the weapons, and 50% on the customization. There's also little things in game play I would have liked to have seen (tagging enemies and spawning on team members). More so, I would have liked to have seen 8 vs 8. The maps are big; big enough to accommodate 8 vs 8. However, with all that said, you rarely notice during game play (it's really a ton of fun). I think you notice that stuff after a few hours of consecutive game play; wanting to switch it up thereafter. We know more modes are coming, and likely more weapons and maps in DLC as well.     Whoa! Played the alpha and beta and got the full game today and I'm blown away. Fun, fresh and not the same old thing. Too bad so many Playstation players are rating it as zero because Respawn put a TON of work into this game and made a great one. This is truly a next gen blast of a game and well worth buying. Check it.

    Game is a fun, blast to play. Fanboys will make people go and rate it 10 or 0 depending on who their corporate lover is. The game has such a great speed to it and balance as well. I personally am better at fighting titans as a runner then in my own Titan. And that's all good. Find what works for you and assist your team. It is a fun game to play.

    Amazing game. Maps are excellent with a wide variety of them (15 total). Lots of weapons, which all feel balanced and unique, Titans are awesome, gameplay is fast, skillfull and intense. The game is well balanced, one of the best MP games I've played in a long time. Go buy it

    It is very impressive to see how Respawn balance so brillantly the gameplay between Soldiers and Titans.
    Playing this game is awesome, but its not Perfect.
    There are a few things that bothers me like graphics and bots ^^

    To be honest when you play as a pilot you feel like playing CoD and when you ride a Titan you feel like you are playing Halo. Is just a mix of everything good out there, if you like FPS you have to play TITANFALL.

    about the 792 well PS4 is doing a better job about that in every single game they have (1080p) but you soon forget about it because of the great game TITANFALL is.

    I have about 4 hours of play on Titanfall, so far and i'm really enjoying it. I don't understand why people are giving it such horrible reviews. If your thinking of purchasing this game ignore the negative reviews and buy it. This game is something fresh and new unlike most games out there.

    For someone that's been out of the shooter genre for years this game was an amazingly fresh, fun and addictive jump back in. Mech combat adds a ton of fun, as does the parkor and wall running. A few more game modes, customization and weapons and it'll be perfect.

    The Xbox Cloud shines on Titanfall, which the first FPS to take advantage of this back-end computing service. Rather than running the AI for NPCs and Auto Titans locally, the Xbox Cloud's Azure servers take the load off of the console's hardware and let the box in your home focus on your direct experience.

    Multiplayer campaign is a really interesting feature, since it makes the "story mode" one which you can "lose" rather than just have to try again. You get to play on both sides of the conflict and it introduces you to the "Classic" multiplayer gameplay better than most FPS' campaign modes. Skills are more directly translated between the two over-arching game types.

    Looking forward to the upcoming title update with some features that were not ready in time for the original launch, but overall, I think it'll be Titanfall versus Destiny for Game of the Year in 2014.

    Fantastic game. Go ahead and read the negative reviews. 99% of the people who wrote them haven't played the game. They're almost all PS4 fanboys or EA haters. This game is awesome. The AI makes the battlefield feel alive and the campaign is fun even when you lose because it's just a continuing story. Seriously awesome. Go play this game if you can.

    Having a blast with this game. If you like shooters, this is a breath of fresh air. Being able to run, jump, and wall run on anything whenever you please makes navigating the gorgeous maps easy. It's going to be hard to go back to other shooters.

    Titanfall is the best first person shooter that I've played in a long, long time. I personally got sick of COD and Battlefied 4, so Titanfall was a new and awesome experience. There's tons of different stages, weapons, and accessories to choose from, but the game's claim to fame is the Titans. I love piloting Titans, that never gets old. Anyway, I can't recommend it this game enough.

The combat flexibility is amazing, and there could be enemies anywhere not just the static 20 places for snipers in BF. Players are also rewarded for moving around and having titans makes camping less common.… Expand

    Excellent game. Ignore the butt hurt fanboys and haters out there blindly rating this game low. This game does not deserve anything lower than an 8/10. It's not perfect, but it's great. Remember, all the people who are enjoying and loving the game are on their PC or Xbox One playing it, not sitting around and posting BS low-rated "reviews" on Metacritic.

    Ignore the people hating on this game because it was published by EA. I'm not a fan of EA's development practices either, but this game is developed by a separate studio which has made deep partnerships with other companies that have way more (and better) influence than EA's.

Despite all of that, and the fact some features will be patched in later, I haven't had this much fun in a FPS in a long long time.     These PS fans will go to long extents to make everything on Xbox look bad because their system does not have a single fun game on it. All the ones giving negative reviews are ponies upset this game did not come out on their horrid console;

    Excellent game, incredible fun. Don't let fake fanboy reviews put you off, at the worst rent it and give it a go, you will see what all the fuss is about!
    Also available on 360 and PC, this game is the next generation of FPS's!

    It's a great game, but not the best out there. I would not call this a true "Next Gen Game" yet. It still has a lot to prove. The tutorial helps you out if you are new to FPS games, however if you have a FPS background, the tutorial will seem pointless to some. The Titan vs Pilot aspect would seem to be an issue many people would worry about. However, I can safely say for I have done this many times, there is no imbalance issues. A pilot can take out a Titan without to much of an issue, but it requires fast movements and stealth. Another issue people keep looking at is the "6v6 + AI" in the multiplayer. It's an understandable issue most people have, but it isn't that bad. Killing an AI "minion" is still satisfying, but nothing beats taking out a Pilot or a Pilot controlled Titan. Titanfall brings a big aspect to FPS games that has never made a solid movement. The use of the Free Running ability is vital to survive long periods of time during a match. However, you can't just rely on it as your only motion. Many will look to the skies for the Pilots, so sneak around with the AI players and throw the enemy off. Titanfall is a great game to kick off a new batch of games built for Next Gen. This may not seem like a true "Next Gen Game", but its carving a great path that many should follow.… Expand

    Some people are ridiculous. I see some legit reviews. But the really negative reviews are trolls. I've checked out IGN and gamespot. They are using the same user name and all they've done is trashed talked Microsoft and all their games. This game might not be for everyone. But I can tell you it's a blast.     This game rocks! I am not exaggerating when I say this is the most fun I've had playing a first person shooter game in a very long time. After spending the weekend playing Call of Duty ghosts, Titanfall has been an amazingly refreshing experience.

    Very surprised! I did not think to buy the game before its released and finally gameplay to interest me and I'm falling in love! One finds his feelings nowhere in other games is indescribable, running on walls, jumping around, dodge bullets aboard the Titan. Simply enjoyable! Hate to see the future DLC

    This game is an official cod killer, intense multiplayer action, go go go, its just fun, most fun I have had on a shooter since the old Quake and Counterstrike days. Anyone giving this a negative review is either bad at competitive shooters, or a pissed off sony fan boy.

    Long story short, this game has reinvigorated my love for FPS games after I had grown tired of the yearly CoD and couldn't grasp the grandiose scale of BF4 (my history for the BF franchise goes back to BF1942, BF2, and BF2142 so I was sad that I lost a step haha). Yes, there's no single player, yes there are features missing, but from what I could tell, the developers at Respawn spent aLong story short, this game has reinvigorated my love for FPS games after I had grown tired of the yearly CoD and couldn't grasp the grandiose scale of BF4 (my history for the BF franchise goes back to BF1942, BF2, and BF2142 so I was sad that I lost a step haha). Yes, there's no single player, yes there are features missing, but from what I could tell, the developers at Respawn spent a large chunk of their time meticulously refining the core gameplay mechanics, ensuring weapons and abilities are balanced and not overly saturated (having 50+ weapons does not imply you're game is good), that parkour isn't just some jumping off walls mechanic that's haphazardly thrown in just for a cool effect, and the battles between titans and pilots can have the same outcome as a titan vs. titan battle, despite the odds in the David vs. Goliath type matchup. That in itself is what sold it to me and I am perfectly ok with a solid FPS game as opposed to areas that may be broken just to add that extra layer of fluff that everyone expects now that they have been used to CoD and BF, which is totally fine by the way, I don't blame anyone for feeling like the game feels "incomplete," that's your opinion. :)

    Anyway, I strongly recommend this game. I've logged almost 13 hours playing the past two days and can't get enough of this. This is the first title that all my friends and I love unanimously and play together and I don't see us slowing down one bit with future map packs and other enhancements that Respawn has promised thus far (I have read Vince Zampella's Twitter account and so far he has confirmed that Private matches and Class Loadout renaming will be coming, so you know that they're acknowledging our feedback). I would have given it a 10, but I have given a 9 because yes like you, I enjoy a story, and I do love the inclusion of Campaign Multiplayer, however I had a really hard time trying to follow the story and was hoping for some additional cutscenes or maybe in-game "events" that would affect gameplay and allow you to understand how you are progressing the story. With that said, I do want to learn more about the lore of Titanfall and if anything, the game has introduced me to that.

    Congrats to Respawn for such an amazing game, especially as a start-up development studio, and I hope this is just the first of many. Looking back to the jump from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (multiplayer that is), I can see where they're going and I am very excited about the prospects.    … Expand

    just awesome, got tired of cod but still loved shooters like bf4 and counter strike, this is just something that does a really good job at replacing cod. its unique, its super fast (faster than cod), and a you can become very good at it.

    I mean, at first glance you think to yourself 'this just looks like an average game', but once you start playing, its hard to put the controller down. Titanfall is well balanced, fun and its servers are rather stable, allowing players like me to fully experience the thrill of hearing 'Titanfall inbound'

The online only multi-player aswell, the game has always been marketed at that so why complain about that aspect you knew what you were buying if you don't like games like that why buy it and people say it gets boring after a few hours well then honestly I don't think multi-player FPS games are for you then. BOTS is another thing there supposed to not have that great of an AI there like minions in LoL, there for strategy they help you get your Titan faster, so there is a strategy to farming them etc.

Between the double-jump, wall-running, and mech gameplay (the Titans), the game feels different than pretty much any other FPS out there. I highly recommend it for fans of the genre, and maybe even for people who don't play FPS much.

    As others have mentioned, the only downside to the game is that it's pretty barebones. There is a Campaign Mode, and a Classic Mode, but the campaign is BARELY that--It's a little bit of storyline to go along with the shooting. All modes are multiplayer-only, so don't expect to play this offline. Either way though, this game is too much fun to pass off, lack of variety aside. I highly recommend it.    … Expand

    Aside from a few minor quibbles (I can jump across streets and hop over entire buildings, but a knee-high window ledge is insanely finicky to get past?) Titanfall is undoubtedly a great game which does an exceptional job of breathing new life into an increasingly-stale genre.
