Dec 28, 2016Clementine isn't playable and only gets 10% of the entire screen time. Javier is bland and has a boring story. Episodes are 60 minutes long, down from 90 minutes in season 2 and 120-150 minutes in season 1. The writing is atrocious.
If you have any respect for Clementine or Lee, don't buy this game. It destroys everything from the past 2 seasons.
This is an insult and a betrayal to all fans. -

Sep 20, 2017Unimportant sequel and story. All new characters around Clem. No more focus on zombie problem, now we got family drama instead. Kinda boring. Better graphics but still laggy cutscenes.

Oct 20, 2018It doesn’t quite have the charm the other seasons has, but it still holds well as an amazing story with great characters.

Dec 29, 2017After finishing up the season the story telling was solid and the game mechanics were good. But after two seasons of telling Clementines story this foray into new characters created a problem. We have spent so much time caring about Clem and we needed more from her. So I struggled at times but eventually came on board. Overall It was what we expect from Telltale but nothing too earth shattering.

Sep 8, 2020Even though I enjoyed this game, it's definitely the worst in the series. If you haven't played the series before I'd recommend playing the other three over this. I wasn't really on board with the introduction of new characters as I've had two games getting to know Clementine. Eventually, I got into it, though it wasn't nearly as strong as Clementine's story. Still a good game.

Sep 4, 2019Too many inconsistencies with the characters, choices, and story makes this feel like it was rushed. However, it is still worth a play through.

May 24, 2021Quedé enganchadísimo con la historia para mi un juego de 10 dentro de su género.

Feb 26, 2022I just finished the season and it was awesome. I love these types of games so I enjoyed every minute of this season. The new characters that are introduced all great and the story kept me hooked.

Jan 15, 2022É pior que as duas anteriores, mas ainda sim te prende. Os personagens são menos carismáticos, poucos locais, história inconsistente, e parece um spin off.

Jan 2, 2023To put it simply, TWD: New Frontier suffers from exactly the same problems as TWD: Michonne. But if you are one of those who care about Clementine's future, don't miss it.

Official Xbox Magazine UKJul 25, 2017Maybe a bit flat compared to previous seasons but still pretty nerve-jangling. [Aug 2017, p.78]

Jun 9, 2017It’s a solid third season for The Walking Dead, but we’ve seen so much better. Cheap plot devices and inconsistent tones in the writing hurt the overall quality of the narrative, and the Telltale Tool continues to show its age in the worst ways. And, for diehard fans, Clementine will still find a way to steal the show from the new cast.

Jun 7, 2017Despite its promising subtitle, there's little new in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier to write home about. A revamped presentation, new characters, and excellent voice acting make it live up to the expectations, but the traditional flaws on the technical side of things and an undeniable stagnation on the narrative one stop it from reaching the greatness of the first season.
