It’s fair to say that The Office Quest on Xbox One ticks almost every single box for what makes point and click adventures great. There are a ton of fun mini-games, an array of inventory-based puzzles, and a load of quirky characters to fill in the gaps between the two.

You work a terribly boring job, or so it seems, and you'll do anything to get out of working. Following the color that's risen from your desk flower and taken flight, you embark on a quest to get out of work. The Office Quest is a standard point and click mechanic, where you pick up items to use elsewhere and interact with the world around you. The game has no real given direction, tasking the player with figuring each puzzle out, some calling on quite a bit more thought than others. The simple color palette lends to the droll feeling of being trapped at a desk all day, and the colors themselves feel like everything was drawn on an old legal pad, minus the blue lines. The characters are wild, all wearing strange costumes that react with the character. Every one of these interactions feels well placed, and thought out. The path is rarely ever straight forward, and some backtracking is necessary, and some of that can feel like a tiny burden, but never detracts from the feel. This adventure is definitely better than a day behind the desk! Fans of Point-and-Click adventures will have a blast with Office Quest, even those that aren't big fan can find some enjoyment here with the peculiar things you have to do to progress. Expand
