It surprised me because I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did and in the end I couldn’t wait to see what happened next in this fantastic and interesting story. The Journey Down: Chapter Two starts off from where you left the first chapter and once again the story shines bright throughout your time with the game. Something I have to really applaud with the game’s story so far is that it’s got lots of intricate parts to it and these intricate parts stir up a number of different emotions within the characters in the game. Speaking about the characters they seem to be even more interesting this time around and I became even more attached to them because of this. Each character in the game also feels important and that’s rare because often in game’s some characters just lack in certain areas but that’s not the case here. Once again the gameplay doesn’t have too much to it and the game is a little on the short side, but the gameplay that is available to you has been done really well again. There are an abundance of puzzles for you to get to grips with again and this time around you will notice that some puzzles possess more of a significant challenge than in the previous chapter. I must admit that I did enjoy the more challenging aspects of these specific puzzles but the more difficult puzzles did also bring with them a little more in terms of frustration as well. Thankfully this frustration is only really felt when it comes to the puzzles at the end so it isn’t really a major problem and there is definitely a more rewarding feeling when completing the end puzzles as well so the higher difficulty does have some good points as well. Technichally you will be pleased to know that once again the game is flawless and you will not bump into any significant problems again, which of course is always a good thing. The presentation side of the game once again ticked a lot of boxes for me and I enjoyed what was on offer quite a lot. Visually the game has a lovely hand-drawn art style that really does bring the game to life. The sound design also brings the game to life and whilst it has a shortcoming when it comes to the voiceover work of its secondary characters it still gets more things right than it gets wrong. At the end of the day The Journey Down: Chapter Two has once again delivered in all areas and this series looks like it’s going to be one of my favourites if it continues going down the path it’s currently on and I can’t wait to see where the next and final chapter takes us.… Expand
