Sep 14, 2016The Final Station doesn’t break any molds, nor is it revolutionary in its gameplay or ideas, but it is fun. It is good old fashioned, quality fun.

Sep 6, 2016Kudos to Do My Best. For a debut game, I'm very impressed by the level of quality and thought that has gone into The Final Station. While some may feel like pixel-art is overdone in general, I can't fault Do My Best for going down that route for their first game -- its simple design allows for a lot of creativity.
-
Sep 1, 2016The Final Station has a great deal of promise, but repetitive gameplay elements can be tiring.
-
Sep 26, 2016The Final Station is a unique and creative experience. While simple at its core and a mystery that unveils itself slowly, its gameplay mechanics are repetitive and dull. While not a bad game by any means, it simply starts to wear out its welcome when you have to deal with yet another train ride and a town to explore, all to find a piece of paper so you repeat the same experience again.
-
Sep 8, 2016The Final Station is an enjoyable romp for a one time through experience. It’s tense at times and has a unique idea for a gameplay loop, yet I do feel they could do more with it. If this is a foundation for perhaps a more elaborate sequel with more features and ideas, sign me up. As it stands, it’s still a fun take on the survival horror mold that worth checking out. It can start to wear out its welcome, but it doesn’t overstay.
-
Sep 7, 2016A simple but frantic 2D survival game that can quickly become monotonous. Only recommended for hardcore survival fans.
-
Sep 5, 2016The game is straightforward and fun except for the frustrating lack of instructions on how things work.
-
Sep 5, 2016An interesting idea with some charming visuals, but with a too linear and basic gameplay.
-
Sep 2, 2016Although it’s short, it is a unique, interesting and enjoyable concept that had me hooked from the outset not only due to its gameplay, but also because it offers a compelling and unusual take on the standard zombie apocalypse model.
-
Sep 1, 2016The Final Station succeeds in producing a unique and fun survival game. Even though the short length severely hurts the story and the train sections steal from the fun, I feel there is enough in the zombie infested portions to redeem the final product. The beautiful art direction, captivating music, and gripping tone create a world that I would not mind visiting again in order to search for any story points I may have missed while running from the horde.
-
Sep 9, 2016I really didn’t enjoy my time with The Final Station at all. Combat, whilst not particularly difficult, was still frustrating and often unfair, and the infuriating menus aboard the train meant there wasn’t any point during my playthrough that I was actually having fun. I suspect the story is the real draw here, but the text was too small to read without sitting with my nose to the T.V. screen and the ending just made me want to uninstall the thing as fast as possible.

Nov 26, 2018Interesting idea, and I wanted to see the end of the story, but the combat sucks. Monotonous, unfair, annoying. I just gave up to be honest.
