    The Fall Part 2: Unbound is a solid follow-up to its predecessor with a moving story and interesting puzzles. It is held back somewhat by occasionally obtuse solutions and bland action sequences, but is well-worth the price of admission for players eager to continue ARID’s story.

    Great part two in The Fall series, and leaves the door open just enough ready for part three. If Over the Moon continue with the improvements they’ve made to the next installment, then the trilogy should go down as a true classic of its time.

    The Fall Part 2: Unbound manages to improve on the first game in most ways. Intertwining ARID's story with others is a smart move for the sequel, and each host serves as their own character with their own story to tell. A lot of the improvements come with ARID herself, with extra combat and movement abilities making for much smoother gameplay. The puzzles are genuinely tricky, maybe a little too tricky towards the end, and the lack of hand-holding may mean a few head-scratcher moments. Aside from these small issues, Unbound is an excellent continuation of The Fall and sets up for an exciting trilogy finale.

    First of all, I was a massive fan of the first game and that was mainly because it had a unique story and it had many exciting momentsFirst of all, I was a massive fan of the first game and that was mainly because it had a unique story and it had many exciting moments littered throughout. Thankfully The Fall Part 2: Unbound is a fantastic continuation of the series and without a doubt it satisfied me a great deal. The story is once again the thing that stands out most. Everything about the story is fantastic and the best thing is that it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. One of the reasons the story is so successful is because the characters in the game are a joy to behold and for me they are some of the best characters I’ve ever come across in a game. When it comes to the gameplay that’s on offer in the game you will notice a number of different mechanics in play at the same time, and thankfully most of these different mechanics hold up really well. I never found myself getting bored with the gameplay, but I would have liked a little more variety when it came to the combat in the game. Don’t get me wrong the combat isn’t bad but I would have liked them to have made it a little less frustrating. Once again there are an abundance of puzzles for you to get to grips with in the game, and thankfully some of these puzzles are amazing. What you will notice is that each puzzle matters and the clever design of each puzzles makes completing them very rewarding. There isn’t much bad about this game but I will say that it does suffer with a few technical issues every now and then, but a small patch would sort this out easily. In terms of the presentation side of the game it ticked a lot of boxes for me. Visually the game has a dark sinister side to it and I think it creates a very unique atmosphere. The sound design also manages to create a unique atmosphere as well and I thought the voice actors did a wonderful job with their roles. At the end of the day Over The Moon have done a wonderful job with part 2 of this fascinating series, and in some ways they’ve even made it better than the first game. Everything about this game just feels right and when everything that’s right combines together it delivers a very memorable experience. If you enjoyed the first game then The Fall Part 2: Unbound is an absolute must buy and I can’t wait to see what the series has planned for us next.… Full Review »
