This game is like WoW just done right. There is no way to really summarize this game into 5,000 characters so I am simply going to say this. This is like all MMOs it is just 5,000 times better and more entertaining. And you don't have to pay a monthly fee!

This is one of the best MMORPG's of the decade. It has a lot of rich content, with random events popping up all the time, taking out most of the grind in the game. Its extremely balanced and there is no monthly fees. The quests feel natural and fun to do without getting tedious. This game is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who wants an amazing game!

Best MMO of 2012 for me. This game's worth downloading. I have really enjoyed the gameplay of this game. The graphical details in this game is above any other MMO. I love all those powerstyles. Those power effects are well programmed. There's almost no glitches. The game runs smoothly. It clearly deserves a rating of 10.

Better than Archepay, The Secret World, and TERA, all things considered.
I've been purchasing every major MMO release this year and have left extremely disappointed each time. I would log in, see "kill X and Y", do the standard number mashing combat that you find in every MMO, and end up unsubscribing. I did try to give these games my all and see if I could break past the tedium, but I could not.

cons: it might take a while to get used to. some things are a bit complex. crafting, teams lays. some interface should be simpler.

Amazing game. Superb artwork, great depth and incredible value for a one time fee, Yes, there are promotions aimed at getting people to spend money in the shop, but these are largely cosmetic or convenience based - the game is in no way pay to win. Good community, vast world and enough content to keep interest for many, many hours.

This is a game that has been on my radar since it was released, however when it was announced I had no intention of buying it due to the subscription that was required. Don't get me wrong it wasn't because of the subscription, but mainly because I couldn't afford to pay that amount of money out each month, and I don't think that I was the only one. However, I was drawn back to the game when they announced that they were no longer going to be doing the subscriptions and it would be a simple 'Buy the Disk and play the game' model... With your standard Micro transactions. Again, I don't think I was the only one who changed there mind when this was announced.

One of the many things I love about this game, is after doing the initial prologue etc you are free to go where ever you want, you can roam the lands to your hearts content, although if you're just starting out I suggest doing missions and levelling your character up, stick to a region and do the missions there first before venturing to other areas. Because there is a very good chance you will cross the border into another area and find yourself as a level 10-15 facing a horde of level 35-40 monsters... As Joon did... Didn't end too well... Brave Sir Robin moment was needed.... Saying that though, if you are in a Guild with Friends, and your all out adventuring together, there can be safety in numbers against certain higher level beasts... However, some higher level beasts will destroy you all....

This games open world is vast... and I mean HUGE! I have only tickled the surface of the world in Auridon and Grahtwood and a little bit in Cyrodill for the PvP... Which ill get onto a bit later in the review.

I think I must have played this game for at least 30+ hours and have only just done most of Auridon (the stuff that's showing on the map anyway) so the content and missions are there to play, and another thing I love about this game is that everything can be done with your Friends. Each of the missions (other than the solo quests) in the game are playable with Friends or anyone else for that matter who is at the same stage, or at least mission as you. You can see other players in the world which gives the settings a nice sense of atmosphere. The towns are beautifully designed and the houses/buildings have that wonderful medieval feel to them. They kind of remind me of the houses from Bowerstone in Fable 2.

There is good variety when it comes to missions within the game, some are short and easy and its just speaking to people, others can be more demanding with clearing out caves/mines, so there is a good variety within the game meaning that there is always going to be something different to do... Unless you speak to 2 people who have the same type of mission one after another :P

The dark anchors within the game are a very good way to get some good new gear for your character as well as some XP along the way. Each anchor within the game is a different level and will give you items for that level. However, I will advise to never try and take on an anchor around or above your level when there is only 2 or 3 of you. Evils come thick and fast and you will quickly find yourself over ran. The basic idea behind the Anchors are that you take on wave after wave of bad guys and earn some good stuff, normally when these start if you are in a surrounding vicinity you will hear the sounds of the horns going off and you will see the main frame of the anchor in the sky so they are not hard to miss.

Along with Anchors there are Group Dungeons and Group Bosses for you and your Guild to take part in. Dungeons usually contain 3 stages each of which has a boss at the end which does require teamwork and coordination as these bosses are hard... When you complete them though it is very satisfying and there is a sense of achievement.

Another thing I like with this game although it can be annoying is that when you have a marker set and its showing in your compass, 9 times out of 10 an as the bird flies route wont suffice... mainly because you will have a big mountain in front of you which you can't climb and have to walk around. So you have to plan your journeys to make sure you know where your going and how to get to the marker. Or if you are like me, just wing it and see if you can get there on blind luck... Might take you a lot longer, but who cares? Just enjoy the scenery... Also, I would highly recommend getting a horse... If you haven't unlocked Wayshrines in different areas it can make for a very long journey and horses can help with this!

The emotes in the game are absolutely fantastic. There is such variety with the different things that you can do, from the different dances from the races, to doing push ups and playing the lute... Makes for such enjoyment in an already enjoyable game.

In conclusion I find this to be a brilliant game, however there are some glaring issues within the game but other than that the game is brilliant and there is plenty for you to do.

This one was worth the wait. The game is helping to define a new generation of MMO's and is large and full of rich content. One can lose themselves in the exploration of this wonderful world of Tamriel. The gameplay is fun and exciting and there seems to be no end to the character development. In the years to come, this will be the benchmark that all other MMO's aspire to. Bravo to Bethesda.

Certainly not the worst game I've ever played, but pretty close. Working around other gamers in the world, stability issues, horrible dialogue, and an uninteresting storyline make this game almost unplayable. The missions are completely empty and mostly consist of walking to different locations and reading dialogue. Nothing like Skyrim, do not buy if you don't want to be bored.

This game is fun but the server stability and having to play around so many other random players ruins the experience. Some days can be just fine and others can be amazingly bad to the point where I can't even sprint in the game without latency issues slowing the game down and making it amazingly choppy. Several fans will say, "that's what patches are for", which is true, but to be waiting in the queue for nearly 15 minutes to even be able to play after four days post game launch is just unacceptable. After the first day of login queues, it's fun to get in and wander around doing quests with other people in ESO. Everyone marking this game a 0 that also states they could never play isn't reviewing the game, they're just trolling, so this is to offset that. The queues are entirely gone now and anyone that gave this a 0 becausee they "Couldn't play!" should really reconsider.

    1. Do you think people bought world of warcraft and said WTF this doesn't feel like warcraft... well its not... warcraft is a RTS game and World of Warcraft is a an MMORPG. The Elder Scrolls series is an RPG... ESO is an MMORPG... 2 completely different genres.

    2. What MMO has ever been released and not had any bugs and connection issues for the first week? none that I can think of and I played them all. That would be like networking an entire office building, plugging in every single computer on every floor and it all working first try... good fawkin luck buddy. This is the first game on xbox live to have up to 10,000+ players in a megaserver and I don't care if they tested it all on PC its a completely different megaserver. Any old school gamers who played dial up modem to modem games with friends back in the day like doom or duke nukem 3d will tell you connection issues have nothing to do with how good a game is... now those games had some connection problems to cry about, yet duke nukem 3d and doom are 2 of the top games of all time, Hall of Famers.

As for the game itself, I think its a great game so far and I don't have enough hours played yet to give it a solid review but from what I've seen I would give it a 9.0, I'm hoping there will be some good endgame dungeons and pvp. Its definitely the best MMORPG on xbox one lol.

Or worst run to someone find out they are not there anymore, with the NPC saying "oh he is in the bar" which is another 5 min trek, after you just ran 10 mins following the compass point. If I wanted to just run around and kill I would play COD.

Their seems to be a market trend of reducing character development, unless it is linear, ESOL does character development options are actually very limited with not much other than new moves and three stats health, magika and stamina. This for a RPG is poor, where is the links with Mororrowind which yes was difficult but get you sense of freedom and that spending two hours jumping up and down to build up your acrobatics skills was somehow a good use of time??? What are game designers not listening to the public, who want an PRG with lots of stats, complex versatile missions that make you feel guilty or happy. Dark souls II also looked like it is reducing its stats, but from a side-byside view the 700 hrs I spent on DSII (which I did not now was possible as I have a new baby as well - double hit for exhaustion), is going to tower over the 30 hrs of ESOL, that I suspect is soon to be deleted from the XONE memory.

It does feel like an ES game, for graphics and quest but for anyone who says it is an EScrolls game they have not played either enough or choose simple character development routes, e.g big axe health stamina. When you peel away the superb graphics and voice overs that you don't even listen to as you just run A to B to A, then all you have is three stats to improve and a load of Fallout style perks. Morrowind never had perks, and that was by every standard and 10/10 game.

Anyway I hope that helps make up your minds, in short amazing looking but superficial and boring, with very limited world options as Bethesda clearly spent all the time on the graphics, actors and then went "right now we have this million dollar world, what do we use our remming 1.99$ budget to fill it with.... Just remember the essence of madness is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result, so after DSII I am probably insane.

So 3 minutes later of spamming buttons and can you guess what happens? Yeah, it disconnects me from the server again.

Remember, its an MMO, and MMOs are way more focused on building a huge world and awesome group content than stop you in your tracks graphics.
Moving along, the PVP is great in this game. The area of the world it takes place in is HUGE. Storming a keep with 50 other players has been one of the most fun experiences I've had in a very long time.
Lastly, the crafting in this game is sooooo good. If you've played MMO's before than you'll know how cookie cutter everyone eventually looks. But ESO does a great job by making the crafting relevant endgame. You're an orc who uses a giant axe, but you want to wear nord pants and a wood elf light armor helmet? That's 100% possible.
In summary, this is a fantastic game, IF you dont go in expecting it to be Skyrim 2.0. Treat it for what it is, an action oriented MMO, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

When I do get to actually play, it last about 5 minutes before I lose connection again. I tried playing for 6 hours yesterday and had about 10 minutes of joy. The rest was pure frustration, the games most basic functions are still not working correctly even after an update to the servers this morning. I played for 5 hours before I ever heard an NPC voice, because of apparent server issues they were not playing. I honestly believe the 2 rating I give them is fully deserved for their lack of a contingency plan and poor planning in terms of server problems. Even the few moments that I did get to play relatively-problem free, the game is just boring. Its similar to Skyrim, just not as good. Played the beta for PC and just picked it up for the Xbox One. Immensely better all around and having a blast with my friends. Hands down the best console MMO I have ever played. The community has been great so far. There are a few wrinkles here and there but that is expected with a game launch this big. I firmly believe things will be fully ironed out in the months to come.

ESO is an MMORPG you can't miss, it meshes your typical Bethesda RPG into an MMO world and pulls it off beautifully! First and foremost this is an MMO game and there will be other players, and a lot of them.

The controls map out onto the XB1 Controller very intuitively. The combat is incorporated well for an MMO, think Skyrim aiming and swinging with a mix of dodging and blocking.

Unfortunately archery has been "dumbed down" from the likes of Skyrim, however this is understandably given it's an mmo. Archery in ESO is more of a "aim at your target and pull the trigger" deal. There's no real predictive aiming or bonus for headshots.

Leveling and character development is not like your typical MMO, while you do pick a race and class, your skills come from much more than just that. Different weapons have their own skill trees that players can assign points and gain abilities from. Everything here is very open ended and allows for a huge amount of freedom.

Graphics look great, while not as high as on PC they've done a great job on the XB1, the draw distance is very large and really aids in immersing you into the world. There is the occasional stuttering as you traverse towns but nothing that directly hinders the game.

All in all, ESO is a rock solid MMORPG and anyone looking for a online game with a fantasy setting should look no further, this game will keep you entertained for hours upon hours!

On top of that, you have guild specific skills, race specific skills, class specific skills and 'Alliance War' skills that are more focused towards team/siege abilities (as well as a load more that I haven't discovered yet!).

The map is absolutely massive, covering a majority of Tamriel, with Cyrdoiil acting as the main battle ground for the huge alliance wars that are server wide. You'll find that the game may be an MMO, but it's solo friendly as well, so if you'd rather play it alone then that's no problem, although I would recommend getting involved in the wars as they can get pretty incredible and epic.

As a long term fan of TES that has played every game from Daggerfall and onwards, I'd definitely recommend picking this 'instalment' up.

No one said this game was going to be a life changing event, so if you were expecting the greatest game ever made you were stupid to buy this in the first place.

I agree that there are issues, especially with the amount of players on the servers. The quests seem way too short and easy at times, and you will be surrounded by about thirty players while waiting to talk to the NPCs. My main complaint is that there is a lack of stuff! I am level 8 and I have only come across two or three weapons and zero armor while on quests. Enemies need to drop more goodies after they die Bethesda!

However, the artwork is beautiful, the voice overs are much better than the previous installments, there is a rich story line if you actually take the time to listen, and the world is gargantuan. This is the first game I have played where I feel obligated to create more than one character because the faction you are aligned with dictates where the games starting point is.

In conclusion, I am happy to finally be able to play ESO since I do not play games on the PC. I guarantee this game will grow on you if you have an open mind and remember its not supposed to emulate perfection.

Good: 1. The world is massive. I love games with huge worlds to explore, and in this game, the world is abnormally large. It would take a significant about of time just to explore the whole game world. 2. Quests: There are plenty of quests to keep you busy for countless amount of hours.

    Good:
    1. The world is massive. I love games with huge worlds to explore, and in this game, the world is abnormally large. It would take a significant about of time just to explore the whole game world.

    2. Quests: There are plenty of quests to keep you busy for countless amount of hours. it is hard to not find something to do.

    3. Soundtrack: One of the first songs I heard in ESO was that of the theme from Oblivion. which in my opinion is the best Elder Scrolls theme. The overall soundtrack is very well done.

    4. Voice Actors: The amount of talent in this game is amazing. one of the first voices I immediately recognized was that of John Cleese who plays the voice of Sir Caldwell. Some of the other talent includes: Kate Beckinsale, Peter Stormare, Michael Gambon, Bill Nighy, Troy Baker, Malcolm McDowell, Alfred Molina, Jim Cummings, and Joseph Gatt.

    Bad:
    1. The first and in my opinion the most significant reason this is just an average game is that ESO does not feel like an Elder Scrolls game. I know a lot of people have been complaining about this. But I like to look at ESO as a completely new game. this is in fact the first multiplayer based Elder Scrolls game and overall I feel like they gave it a good effort and I give them credit for trying something new.

    2. Visuals: For a next gen console game, the visuals are a bit weak. Objects and people have to render when you get close, viewing distance is not all that great, textures are a bit previous gen looking. I do hope that the developers will try and fix some of these problems. I look more at gameplay for a game rather than visuals, but graphics should be a big part of a large video game title such The Elder Scrolls.

    3. Lags and Glitches: Everyone is going crazy, complaining that there are way to many lags and glitches. some of the things I have noticed so far are slow login times/ login failures, disappearing objects/NPCs, and significant frame rate drops when multiple NPCs or online players are on the screen at once. But people have to understand that this is a brand new MMO for consoles (MMO for consoles are pretty new in general too) there are going to be kinks and bumps in the roads, Oblivion and Skyrim were not perfect either when they first came out. Give it time and I believe the developers will fix some if not all of these kinks.

Overall ESO is an average game when looked at from an MMO/new game perspective. I will say that if you refuse to look at ESO as for what it is, a new concept/game, you will probably dislike it. Give it time, and I am sure it will progressively become a bit better.

ALL characters are fully voiced and all have their own story to tell with some great detail in quests, caves and dungeons. A very good community. End game dungeons and raids are very good for MMO players to enjoy with a massive amount of content. Over 300 hours easily.

Although the game is not like it's predecessors and single player elder scrolls games ti still has the feel of one. being able to go into first person with vast open zones. Although there is not as much freedom in exploration as in Skyrim, it is still very good and rewarding.

The 'Skill' system is one of the best I have seen in any MMO with the freedom to use any weapon or armor with any class. Classes are also very open and free but all players still have access to deep and meaningful charterer progression.

The graphics are not as good as 'Next Gen' games but that is due to it being an MMO and for MMO standards the graphics are amazing. Especially when you think about the 200 Vs 200 PvP battles and sieges which are awesome.

Another great mechanic is the phasing which makes you feel as if you are actually making a difference to the world you are in. A good example of this would be A quest where A city had been overtaken by werewolves and I had to complete an attack to drive them out. After I finished the quest all the werewolves were gone and the city was filled with friendly NPC's.

Questing is very good with meaningful decisions that can really make you think. Most quest progression is shared although not all quest progression is shared so at some points your group members will be separated from you until they get to the same point in the quest. However this does not take away from the greatness of the game. The main story is engaging with interesting characters and fun missions.

Overall the game is definitely worth a buy for most people and is definitely worth a buy.

That feel of sneaking around to go through dungeons, that fear of confrontation when you're in the fight, and even the solitude of traveling through the beautiful scenery is tarnished heavily by loads of other players. They kill all the monsters before you can get to them, making quests much easier than they should be. Plus, all the subtle un-screen things (highlighting for item selection, finding bad guys, etc.) is confusing. For example, they should have at least made the hovering over a bad-guy red, and the hovering over other players/npc's green. It all just feels cluttered.

I wanted to get into this, because I loved the last three ES titles, each with more hours than I'd like to admit. This is definitely not a classic ES game.

That said, if you've played MMO's in the past, you understand that questing is only a small amount of the game. I haven't leveled enough to give it a fair review, so I will graciously change my score if things get better.

BUT, I might not even get to that point if the servers are always cluttered and down. I have been kicked and unable to connect basically every time I've played the game. I don't have a lot of time for stuff like this, so I need to be able to dive in and get my fun in 1-2hr. increments throughout the week.

I switched from the PC version to the Xbox One version as I am more at home on the console than the computer, plus it only cost me $20 to transfer my account (I would not have paid $60+ for this mess).

Well, I know what the game has the potential to be, but the console launch is plagued with so many bugs, that it is only playable for 5-10 minutes at a time. Errors that kick you for spamming the area chat when you haven't said anything (I haven't even bothered to figure out how to do that yet). Errors that make NPCs invisible, and the only way to fix the problem temporarily is to restart the game or the console. Then, whether you are just logging on, have been kicked, or had to restart your game/console, you have to sit in a queue that tells you that you're #1 in line with 1 second to wait, but it actually takes 5-10 minutes of waiting.

The developers should be ashamed of themselves. They have experienced almost all the same errors before, a year ago, during the PC launch. The chat spamming error (error 318) and the lag are all serious issues they encountered over a year ago. The invisible NPCs is new, but nothing else as far as I can tell. Its hard to imagine that a team of software specialists that had a year to get ahead of a problem they knew about were unable to conquer the issue, which probably means it just wasn't dealt with at all. The company has released a statement telling people that the issue with lag and some disconnections is because of the high server population. This too was a problem over a year ago. They had to have gotten statistical numbers showing the pre-orders and special PC transfers (whose promotion ended over 2 months before console launch) well enough in advance to realize that the servers needed to be upgraded to handle a larger population, yet the problem is the same.

The PC version of the game is a 7/10 in my opinion. That rating would be the same for the Xbox version if it wasn't suffering from crippling bugs that make it virtually unplayable when most of said bugs were preventable. The original game had a budget of over $500 million dollars and I'm sure more was added for the development of the console versions, so its hard to understand how problems like this could be happening. The company has been making excuses to the PC version's population that they haven't gotten around to fixing problems with the PC version because they have been hard at work on the console versions. When I heard that, I was excited. Now I'm just disappointed in ZeniMax's definition of the phrase "hard work".

I have been a fan of Elder Scrolls since Oblivion and I might still buy the next game. However, I would not touch anything that comes with the name ZeniMax attached to it. The year of problems on the PC and now all the problems with consoles is just too large a series of failures to go unnoticed and swept under the rug, IMHO.

Some of the new features, such as stealing, are interesting (they didn't have this on PC Launch). Watching players get the crap beat out of the by guards is hilarious.

    Graphics:
I might be a bit spoiled here, i'm playing this game on a 110 inch projector screen so when i'm looking past a well detailed palm tree to watch the sun set over the ocean is just absolutely stunning.

    Bottom line:

I think people need to stop expecting this game to be Skyrim that went MMO and realize it's an MMO trying to be Skyrim. This game reminds me of Guild Wars 2 where it's more casual and it's meant to be a relaxing way to play an MMO, not a gear race.

    6. Most items found in the world can be sold for 0 gold. Which shouldn't be horrible because you can break items down for their raw materials, except its not guaranteed if you get anything. Most items you get nothing.

    7. Except for special dungeons and pvp you cannot quest with friends. You can each solo the same quest at the same time but group questing is a no-go. Which means no helping friends.

    8. The area is flooded with players, often doing the same quest as you so you have literally twenty or so people standing around waiting for the big boss at the end of a dungeon to spawn. Then all hell and lag breaks out when he does and the fight literally lasts seconds.

    9. Bad guys can hit you with a sword from twenty feet away. No joke.

    10. Immersion is horrible. You wait in line to cure some npc with a potion. Watch him stand up and say "Thank you" then fall back on the floor so the next guy can heal him with his potion.

    11. Playing areas at your level is to easy and playing above your level is suicide. You attack a heavily fortified enemy siege location... except their forces consist of two bad guys that spawn over and over again... Huh? I literally have to run around looking for someone to fight.

    12. You can only sell so many stolen goods a day.

    13. no mini map and no red dots for enemies... but that doesn't matter because enemies don't see you until you hit them, basically.

    14. After level six you cant respawn where you died. You can if you have special crystals. Please purchase a pack of those in the store for real money.

    15. Even after paying $60 or more on this game respecing your character skills costs almost ten dollars.

    16. There is no magic skill trees. Only staff skill trees. So you cant level up healing like in previous editions you have to level up "restoration staff." Which would be ok except you cannot switch weapons
mid fight. at least not until level 15.

Those were just SOME of the annoying things that I have found after a day of owning this game. My PC friends laugh at me and say "That is just how MMO's are." WHAT?! Bad graphics and crappy games are what the "PC Master Race" have been dealing with for years?! And they have been so desensitized that they think that its normal?! Ugh.

I am just sad that I bought this game digital so I can't return it for at least some of my money back.

What I saw today was a game that fell flat on it's face. The graphics are very similar to a vanilla skyrim on its high settings, mixed with several bugs all relating to network issues and lack of capability to support player population. From the general inability to log in without fighting the internal server error message that is so predominant, to lagging in the game so hard that the game auto-crashes to home page on the console. I've experienced first-hand network lag crashes that actually prevent me from completing quests because the npc I got the quest from disappeared from the marking spot. I've taken falls that injure me, where I then go attack an npc, and then repeat the same fall I took 10 seconds ago while the npc is still aggro-ed on me. I finally gave up for tonight when I went to create an item through blacksmith crafting and got stuck in the sequence, not receiving the item, nor being able to exit the crafting screen.

This game may be capable of providing a great experience, but it's launch failed miserably to impress, or even arrive as a playable game, hurting it in both the short term and long term lifespan of the game.

Got this through today, the update took about 40 minutes, it all depends on your internet service, thats nothing to do with the dev.

I now have an issue where i am in Daggerfall and a real world player started a fight with a guard and the guard then attacked me and it placed a bounty on my head as it thought i was the criminal, this was early into the game. it just all feels so chaotic. No structure or enjoyment so far what so ever.

OK so I have played only a few hours of this so far and it's yet to wow me BUT I am enjoying myself. My main concern is that it doesn't feel like a proper Elder Scrolls game at the minute, the story is really flat and I have yet to feel like I am part of something even greater, like i did with Skyrim, that game through you into what was an epic plot.

My other main concern is that I am not entirely sure yet WHY it is online. I just seem to be treking around amongst other people doing the same quest as me but at a different pace, I feel like I am either doing something wrong or i am missing the point in some way.

I am fully prepared to alter my score once I have ventured further but I could do with some sort of explanation as to why there are other warriors similar to myself running around and also some sort of encouragment to interact with them. I don't want to compare it to Destiny as I feel they are different games but atleast with Destiny it sort of explained why there were other "guardians" about and game you the push to join forces with others. Right now in this game, I sort of feel like everyone else is getting in the way a bit.

This is coming from someone who doesn't play World of Warcraft, never really got into it myself but i can see the appeal, hence why i thought I would give this a go on its day of release.

I do think its a bit cheeky as well to let you pay £50 for the game and then try and sell you a monthly membership that is basically the same as the type of thing you get with F2P games. £8.99 a month increases your leveling up and money income etc, basically allowing you to become a badass quicker than every one else. It would be worth it if I found a reason to interact with anyone else but as I havent yet, I will just be my pauper self running around levelling up slowly.

I am all about fairness so if I do change my mind about the game i will alter this review, i have to say though i am enjoying this game a hell of a lot more than I enjoyed the Witcher... I'm thinking of getting rid of that all ready.

Pretty good so far, I am liking the graphics and gameplay as much as I liked them on PC. It's a very pretty and realistic looking game with good combat, although I have to take a few points off for the following (without these minor-medium scale issues I would have given it a 9) - the first being that it needs the bugs worked out, on the first day I have already gone into several de-populated villages, and tried to speak with quest givers who showed up as being selectable but nobody was there. The second being strange in game-glitches, such as being kicked from the server for spamming when I have entered no chat text in. I literally don't know how to chat in game on the console yet but somehow was kicked for it. My other issues being the same issues I had with the PC version, in the sense that the game needs more mechanics, such as Dungeon Finder, Raiding, Flying, Underwater swimming and things that add more content and depth to it. I don't pvp so I can't speak for how it is in game, other than I know it exists and i'm sure is a make or break deal for some people. Short of that, great game, could be the best with some improvements. Expand

This game is very difficult to give a straight rating too. As this game claims to be an Elder Scrolls MMO, but is really a remake of Ages of Camelot RVR game. So I will give it three ratings.

Elder Scrolls game. 3/10. Simply put this game has some Elder Scrolls flavor, but would be a horrible disappointment to anyone who dreamed of an Elder Scrolls MMO. If your a hardcore ES fan, you will probably hate it. If it becomes a free game from an Xbox Gold account it might be worth a try, but ES fans would probably still hate it. The XB1 controllers at least make it feel more like an ES game than the PC version.

MMO. 5/10. As far as MMO's go, it's very small feeling zones. It's still quest this and quest that, even though they try to put some ES flavor into it. If ultimately fails horribly in doing so. It is just very average as far as PVE 1-50 MMO's go. IMO the classes are too vanilla. Even more so if your looking for ES flavor.

RVR. 7/10. I never played AOC, but I loved Warhammer Online's RVR, which was borrowed from AOC. It is tons of fun when 50 vs 50 PVP fights happen and try to maintain control of bases. ESO tries to solve the flaws in WH RVR by having 3 factions instead of 2. So if your into Realm vs Realm vs Realm Multiplayer PVP for bases this game is the game for you.

The top says this game is made by Bethesda, but that is not true. It is made by Zenimax by the guy who was blamed for destroying what was great in AOC. So essentially this is AOC 2. So if you want AOC style RVR this is the game for you. If you want ES in an MMO. This game will be a huge let down.

Seriously Bethesda, take the money you earn from this and build an MMO based on the Skyrim skill set. That will make a balanced MMO and PVP will theoretically be balanced because at end game everyone can be every build. And with Windows 10 coming out, you can build it for the Xbox 1 graphics and everyone will be able to enjoy top of the line ES multiple player game.

Great game. Solid story, great combat. The game features around 600 hours of content if you don't rush it and take your time to explore. And then there's also PvP. It is no doubt one of the best and the biggest MMO games to-date.

Bumpy launch will be fixed guys. Have patience! :)

ESO:TU is a great MMO with tons of well-written quests and a huge world to explore! Thanks to PC betatesters it has none of the old bugs during questing, there's a better ''voice'' system than on PC, and finally it has the best graphics among MMOs.
Endgame is going to be expanded with new maps, new raids, and it's not only a GRIND like in old MMOs...but a challenge!

Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited has addressed many of the issues that plagued the first title. There are still some issues with clipping, connections, and voice chat, but the game is still quite enjoyable with plenty of quests to complete and areas to explore. It isn't the perfect MMO by far, but at least it's one that won't cost you $15 a month and you can come back to it whenever you feel like exploring Tamriel.

It may not be the best-looking MMORPG out there and its social tools could use some serious work, but in the end, The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited offers an intuitive and competent experience for console gamers and Skyrim fans alike.

Tamriel Unlimited is neither a great Elder Scrolls game nor an MMORPG for the ages, but it's something else entirely. An addictive if often awkward compromise with an astonishing amount of quality subscription-free content.
