Provides tons more fun and cool stuff to do in an already quest-packed fantasy RPG. [Sept 2018, p.74]

Summerset follows Morrowind's lead of excellent writing, good voice acting and interesting characters, with a main storyline tackling surprisingly contemporary issues and focusing more on the plights of individual characters than the protagonist becoming a wizard god. Though the multiplayer structure still keeps the storytelling here from reaching the heights of the single-player games, it's about as good as it gets in the MMO space.

There are around 30+ hours of content to be had in Summerset, and although the game is four years old at this point, ZeniMax Online Studios is still bringing it's A-game. There's still a significant player population in ESO, and if you're an Elder Scrolls fan, or just looking to get into a game you can play for a while, Summerset is a good fit for you.

Although Summerset closely reflects the style and formula of previous expansions, this timeless quality extends to ESO’s particular brand of online role-playing. Where the spectacular scenery and sumptuous fashion of Summerset combines with prolific and narrative heavy quests to create an outstanding adventure, and a worthy inclusion in anyone’s Tamriel wardrobe.

The Elder Scrolls Online stills growing up thanks to the arrival of a new map in The Elder Scrolls: Summerset. The adventure is improving in all its aspects with an expansion that adds new tasks and options. But it still has problems like performance and the lack of a Spanish localization.

I had no idea what to do half the time, where to go, and it just felt overwhelming for an Elder Scrolls game. Coming back years later, I'm glad I'm on ESO again. If you purchase the digital complete edition or whatever it's called. You WILL start in Summerset and then continue with the base game and Morrowind afterwards. Summerset is beautiful, colorful, and vibrant environment. Most of it is maze like which is my only disapproval of this DLC. Otherwise, this is an amazing add on to ESO. P.S. I have the best looking female character in game. Come at me. Full Review »
