It’s difficult to fault a game for dreaming big as it still enjoyable to hunt for secrets under Stonehenge. However, that might be because these types of forward-thinking gameplay ideas are almost always alluring. We need to see games with a sense of humanity in its characters and games that can teach the socially awkward in the same way that action games teach reflexes. Perhaps that’s too much to put on a small scale first-person experience. And perhaps it is not, but given how The Bradwell Conspiracy executed its ideas, it might actually be too much to ask for in this case.

It all feels lazy and sloppy — much like the rest of The Bradwell Conspiracy. Clearly, they people behind this game should have known better, and yet, at every turn, it feels like it actively works to make itself worse. In the right hands, this could have been a great game, but in these hands, it’s just a badly-executed, broken, near-unplayable mess.

While visiting the Bradwell Stonehenge Museum, something goes horribly wrong and you're left trapped inside the museum, with the building crumbling around you. Every visitor is given a pair of smart glasses, and yours boot up and give you a vitals scan, your throat is damaged from smoke inhalation, so you can't talk. With the help of your Smart Glasses, you attempt to find a way out, and make a friend that you can hear, but not see, and the lack of ability to talk makes your relationship slightly one-sided. Dr. Amber Randall attempts to help you to try and find an exit and links your glasses camera to her own, so you can at least convey where you are and what you can see. Along the way you are introduced to The Bradwell Corporations newest Technology, an experimental device that can manipulate a special material Brawellium dubbed simply Substance, and allows you to create items, at the cost of Substance so long as you have a blueprint. The early game help familiarize you with the mechanics of the game and then releases you into the area to take on puzzles, some that will make you REALLY use your thinker, so pay close attention to your surroundings! With a few manageable bugs, the Bradwell Conspiracy weaves quite the story, and will definitely keep your thinking cap on! Full Review »
