Jan 23, 2017The way in which its story unravels alongside Caleb and Madeleine's motivations will fascinate you throughout the game and potentially even have you asking what's right and wrong as you progress towards the end.

Feb 4, 2017I’ve had a great story experience with The Assembly. It’s got a wonderful central premise that it explores beautifully, with a world that is full of integrity and intrigue. The sections revolving around Dr Stone are the more successful of the two, with brilliant puzzles and superb conundrums. The game finishes way too early, just as it feels like it’s really starting to find its feet, but maybe that’s okay when you take in the price.

Jan 27, 2017The Assembly delivers an atmospheric and intriguing first person adventure, but with too many pop-in and texture loading problems and a quite uninspired and inconclusive story.
-
Mar 5, 2017The Assembly is a great experience far less interesting without a virtual reality device than with it, but it still offers an interesting plot and a fascinating story line in a worthy playable experience.

Jan 27, 2017The Assembly on Xbox One is a technically proficient decent walking sim, with great graphics, voice acting and surprisingly superior immersion for a low budget version of a VR experience. That said, the story in any walking sim really needs to be the main feature. It's unfortunate then that The Assembly is something of a snore-fest.
-
Feb 14, 2017The Assembly fails trying to keep the player's interest due to its extremely slow rhythm and the repetitive gameplay system. Good story, weak controls & targets.
-
Feb 11, 2017A well-made game that manages to perfect the technique of parallel narrative and offers a very different type of graphical adventure. It is a shame that the game only lasts 3 hours. In addition, it is noticeable that it is created for virtual reality, something that can be an obstacle for console players. Anyway, The Assembly is a good bet for those who enjoy the genre.

Mar 9, 2020This is an interesting/peculiar game. Drama, plot twist, puzzles seen like a fine combination for the story.
