    With a time-bending approach to the twin-stick shooter, it looked like The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines on Xbox One would be really spoiling us. Instead, we get a slow-paced example of the genre, whose best ideas never quite develop beyond its first hour.

    If The Ambassador: Fractured Timelines featured more gameplay variety besides its basic gimmick then it would've been much more fun.

As one of the only remaining fellows, you must find those responsible and return Tamaris to its former glory. Very cool little twin stick shooter although it does pale in comparison to the many twin stick shooters we have enjoyed over the years on the Xbox brand. I was able to get through the whole story without extras in roughly 9 hours of play. I like that many of the items you unlock aren't necessarily better than the ones you have, they just behave differently. This lets you mix and match to fit your playstyle, or try something new and different. Keeps the gameplay loop feeling fresh for shorter play time sessions with the game. It starts out pretty easy, but gets pretty challenging by the end and for the price it's not terrible by any means, there's just better twin-stick offerings to play on Xbox One. If you're like me you will find the fun in the genre I do absolutely enjoy on my Xbox.… Expand
