    The core experience in Tetris Ultimate is fondly familiar and as enjoyable as it was thirty years ago. As a product created to honor its legacy, however, it is lifeless and bland.

    When playing alone or in offline multiplayer mode, Tetris Ultimate nails most of the basics. Unfortunately, it doesn't go far beyond them.

    A nostalgic trip down memory lane that feels too stale in the long run. The classic Tetris gameplay elements are here, but with so many releases over the years in this franchise, Ubisoft really could have tried to break new ground in more ways.

    You could ask for a version more to your liking, but Ultimate seems mostly focused on getting to these new consoles before any other subtitle.

    Pretty neat version of Tetris, gives the nostalgic feeling of playing a very nice game.
