TerraTech is by no means bad, and there's a lot to like and have fun with in it. The car creation aspect is wonderfully creative, and it's a lot of fun building up the car (or weird shambling monstrosity) of your dreams. A lot of effort went into this creation element, but it seems like nothing else was thought out in nearly as much detail. Creation is every bit as enjoyable as you think, but this never really gets around to having anything interesting to do with it. This emptiness, and a somewhat shoddy control scheme, are going to keep this just shy of great. But if you are just looking to get creative (and don't mind getting stuck in a rock every once in a while), TerraTech is a great way to kill some time.

TerraTech has some good elements, with huge scope for building a whole score of different vehicles. Sadly, aside from this and a hefty environment to explore, it doesn't do much else right.

I fell in love with both the visuals and sound design almost immediately because they really do enhance the gameplay quite a lot. If you likeI fell in love with both the visuals and sound design almost immediately because they really do enhance the gameplay quite a lot. If you like game’s with tons of replayability then you’ll love this game and without a doubt you’ll return back to the game time and time again. The creativity in this game is absolutely fantastic and designing different items is not only fun but it also gives the game a unique side to it as well. It offers you a great deal of exploration and progression and even if you’ve been playing for a while you still get a great sense of achievement. Killing enemies always feels satisfying and on the whole the combat is a very enjoyable affair because it’s fun and challenging at the same time. The game suffers with a few technichal issues and some of these can be pretty annoying, but thankfully none of them are major so you can look past them quite easily.
There isn’t much in terms of a story and the story that is available to you is a little on the basic side. Does TerraTech do enough to get a recommendation from me? TerraTech is a game that I’ve been trying to get my hands on for years and to say I was jealous of my friends who were already playing the game on PC would be a massive understatement. Thankfully it’s finally made its way to the Xbox One and without a doubt it was definitely worth the wait. The main thing that stands out in this game is the creativity and with this creativity comes a lot of fun. In fact it’s that fun that the technichal issues in the game become a distant memory. In terms of problems the technical issues are basically the only thing wrong with the game and when it’s all said and done this game gets a massive thumbs up from me because the fun and replaybility is almost endless.
