Official Xbox Magazine UKJul 14, 2016Flashy and frantic brawler hamstrung only by its devotion to online co-op. [Aug 2016, p.79]
-
Jun 1, 2016All in all, it’s not a bad TMNT game. Sure, the bosses may take too many hits to take down, and the combat will become a mash-fest after a while, but with a few buddies online, I had a pretty fun time seeing the lean green fighting machines back in action.
-
May 24, 2016Overall, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is a solid brawler focused around co-op, but also enjoyable and easy to manipulate while playing solo.
-
May 27, 2016Platinum and Activision deliver again. But even with the action flowing fast and an art design straight out of the comic books, this brawler lacks the certain “something” that is evident in Platinum’s proprietary franchises.
-
Jun 11, 2016I'm not really sure what happened with Mutants Over Manhattan. On paper and from a presentation standpoint, it is the most perfect TMNT game ever released. All that changes when you actually play it.
-
Jun 3, 2016Another misstep with the TMNT franchise leaves me wondering if anyone will ever make a good Turtles game again. As is, Mutants in Manhattan works, but it’s just terribly boring.
-
May 30, 2016Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey deserve something better. Platinum Games can (and should) develop a better game.
-
Jun 10, 2016The level design and watered down combat leaving the game feeling more like a button mashing grind than the deep combat intensive hack and slash that it could have been.
-
Jun 2, 2016As a Turtles fans I’m mildly satisfied seeing the characters in a new light, but playing the game just doesn’t cut it for me.
-
May 28, 2016While there's a moderately entertaining co-op experience underneath the lazy level design, short game length, bland missions, occasional bugs, and minor kinks in the combat system, the quality and value most certainly aren't in line with what we expect from a $50 game.
-
Jun 12, 2016A very disappointing game, especially considering it was made by Platinum Games. Boring, chaotic and irritatingly repetitive.
-
May 25, 2016It's a very short game that still manages to be far too long.
-
Jun 26, 2016The lack of local multiplayer is Mutants in Manhattan‘s biggest sin.
-
Jun 16, 2016Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan's greatest sin isn't that it's a bad game that feels like the result of minimum effort. It's that it takes a great concept, and makes it unrelentingly boring in every way possible.
