It’s very difficult to recommend Techwars Global Conflict on Xbox One. The core concept is sound and even though the gameplay is a bit clunky, the game has its charms. However, currently there are too many technical issues, too much game information is obscured, and even if you can get into a battle it’s hard to fully embrace things.

Victory in every battle will bring you closer to creating your own death machine. The story component is based on an alternative history from Mikhail Vlad’s novels. According to the plot, the world slid into anarchy in 2050 and now there is only one law "the law of force" that is based on cutting-edge technologies. Russian ‘Dominion’ and American ‘KATO’ used their armies of giant war robots to clash in an apocalyptic confrontation of supercorporations for control over the planet.
Techwars is not your traditional MOBA and in some cases feels more like a Battle Royale, though it does have some familiar aspects, and the addition of giant mechs with destructible environments can only add to the fun, right? Mechs are broken up into different categories or classes, including Scouts, Stormtroopers, Destroyers, Technicians, and Titans. Each class has its own specific expertise and may have up to two different mech designs within them. All in all, I found the game to be enjoyable, and the mechanics and visuals pretty well smoothed out and the concept, while not groundbreaking, adds just enough new to make it unique. For me, however, there are some strong disappointments. However I don't want dive more deep in to this game disappointments is unavoidable cause it's all up to what you do and what you you expect from your experience with this title on your Xbox One.

Gameplay was a little clunky but not terrible. The main issue is the Network Errors during games and when trying to log in. I haven’t been able to log in for a day. And this is after I purchased a one month premium subscription. Stay away from this game until the bugs are fixed.. Would gladly update this review to a 7/10 if I was just able to log in.

Update: the network errors have been resolved as of today. I was also able to get a refund for my in game purchase.

It's a great idea, I love Mechs. Always have, was born in the 90s and experienced the best of the Gundam years, Final Front, and Armored Core. This game however, is a terrible experience. Let's break it down, Every map looks and feels very similar to all the others. It seems to be mostly children with microphones playing. There are two game modes that I'm familiar with, a classic death match with variable team deaths(50-200), and capture and hold the points. There are tons of mechs locked through loot boxes or hundreds if not thousands of hours of grind(Aka Gambling pay wall blocked) Theres like 10 random loot boxes(one for mechs, one for weapons, one for parts, etc) which is purchased with real money... There only good thing about this game is the idea, the rest is very poorly executed. I feel this is just a quickly put together game, betting on children to be using their parents credit cards for a cash cow they have absolutely no interest in developing further. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time. Expand
