    Tales of Symphonia Remastered is an improved version of the one that came out two generations ago, being exactly the same as what we can find with its HD version for PC. Without a doubt, it is a great entry for all those who want to start in the JRPG genre. On the contrary, if you are already a veteran of the genre but you don't know this game, maybe you should think about playing it or at least try it to not only get a good experience, but also some video game culture. And if you still don't want to play it, you always have the Tales of Symphonia: The Animation anime series, which is available from Bandai Namco's official YouTube channel in Spanish and other languages.

    Tales of Symphonia is a wonderful experience if you’re a fan of classic Japanese-made RPGs and has aged surprisingly well for a game that's now two decades old. Its real-time 3D combat is still just as enjoyable and the way the story and characters evolve throughout the journey remains just as compelling. Returning players are likely to feel the most let down here, as this really doesn’t feel like the proper remastered experience it could have been. In saying this, the fun battles & RPG elements shine through, which might be enough for some players to overlook the shortcomings of this remaster.

    Tales of Symphonia Remastered is a brilliant JRPG. Some areas such as the battles and overall sound feels a little dated, but it is still very much a playable game. Where it is let down is in the remastering details, or rather lack of.

    Let us greet the arrival of Tales of Symphonia Remaster on Xbox One and Xbox Series the honourable way: by advising you NOT to buy it. Unless you do not have any other game system (like a PlayStation 3) and really want to discover this exceptional title, it is better to pass until Bandai Namco finally decides to offer one of the best titles of its saga the version it truly deserves... or a substantial price drop.
