    It’s fast, fun and challenging, and the old school style of one credit and then being left to git gud is a welcome change from the easier games that seem to limp onto the market these days.

    Takotan is a barebones and occasionally annoying horizontal shoot 'em up yet it manages to remain charming and fairly enjoyable.

    Octonaut provides a nostalgia with easy to win mechanics and also can also be a good game to introduce your kids to a top down side scrollingOctonaut provides a nostalgia with easy to win mechanics and also can also be a good game to introduce your kids to a top down side scrolling shooter with simple and cute graphics. Octonaut is simple and not very challenging overall to anyone who can understand how to avoid the shots. I do have to admit the various guns they offered kept me super satisfied with the game. Some made fighting easier while others increased the difficulty. I felt the normal mode was far to simple and easy. Beat it on my first try and took about 45 mins. However the mania mode which was basically a one shot and your dead. That mode made the game super fun. I enjoyed trying to survive and fighting. It caused some to rage many times But with games like this that's highly normal. I wish it would have had more. The custom mode made it seem like you could up the difficulty and stuff but in all honesty it still played normal even when I upped the speed by 300%. So the custom mode was a huge let down. All in all for a game to pass a few mins I felt it was good but I also felt like I was gaming on a mobile app than my xbox. Its reasonably priced though and I did enjoy it so it's worth taking a look into for fans of the genre.… Expand
