    Syrup and The Ultimate Sweet isn’t a game that is meant for everyone. It is a visual novel after all. For its short playtime, you get to experience a satisfying story with 10 different endings and outcomes. I myself enjoyed my time with it though. Playing this game reminded me how much of a guilty pleasure visual novels are of mine; maybe it will do the same for you.

    Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet on Xbox One is mostly delightful, occasionally shocking and a little underwhelming. It follows the stereotypes of visual novels a little too closely but I have enjoyed my time with it. Its characters are charming and develop nicely over the admittedly fairly short playtime.

    Syrup and The Ultimate Sweet - This short visual novel game has you play the part of Syrup, an anti social, anti magic candy alchamist who isSyrup and The Ultimate Sweet - This short visual novel game has you play the part of Syrup, an anti social, anti magic candy alchamist who is the owner of a Non-Magic Candy store in a town full of magic users. While this game is short it does offer replayability value, due to the fact there are quite a few different endings on offer depending on the choices you make throughout the story. Though I maybe reccomend 1 playthrough per sitting to allow for maximum value from the game and reading dialog over again (though there is a skip option for prior read diaglog) for full effect and not allowing to become tedious. This game offers nice colourful visuals and a nice and sometimes quirky storyline to go with it. The characters are likeable in their own ways and each have their own obvious personalities. This game is aimed at somebody who either likes reading (like myself) or doesn't have much time to play, it accomplises both goals nicely and offers a nice quick achievement list completion (with help from the endings menu you can gurantee 100% completion. I may have liked the game, I just wish the story had been longer as I felt left wanting a bit more. At the price point I'd say pick it up if you like visual novels and not expecting long hours worth of gameplay, this can be completed 100% (using the skip dialog and endings menu) in a couple hours, though it is something I can see myself going back to just for a relaxing chill out session at the console.… Expand
