Super Wiloo Demake is a fun platformer, primarily aimed at younger or more inexperienced players. There are enough levels, costumes and challenge to maintain some interest. But if you’re a more competent gamer, you will likely storm through the game in a few hours. Great if you’re after some easy achievements, but not so much if you’re after something to keep you going for a while.

Wiloo never tries to execute an idea that hasn’t already been done in other games of the genre and, more importantly, it doesn’t try to expand on any of the tropes that it does take. If you mix that with the odd level design, simple enemies and plain aesthetics, all you have by the end is a cheap way to get a 1000 gamerscore.

Super Wiloo really took me back to the days of Super Mario 3 on my NES. Yes you can tell it's heavily inspired, but that is a good thing. It really delivers a lot of fun for a small price tag. Five Dollars typical Ratalaika pricing gets you 50 levels stretched over 5 worlds all with ending bosses. You can play it casual or up the level and struggle as you only get one man to complete a level. You play as Wilooa kid trying to get his dog back after Dr.ETvaldo captures it thinking the animals are the key to happiness. You go on a mission to try and rescue your pet across water levels, ice, lava, etc. Would been nice if you could play as Agatha maybe Wiloo will get captured on his way home and the sequel will be Super Agatha. Hmm doesn't really have that same ring to it. Like Mario 3 you also get cool suits with special abilities attached to them A bee that can fly, a rolling armadillo, a fast swimming turtle, and a unicorn that can shoot its horn at enemies. The game will keep you busy for hours, but you can get all the Achievements/trophies in under a hour. Like Ratalaika tradition, another 5 dollar easy completion to pad your stats. Gamer score collector's love these guys.
The levels all have a really nice colorful 8 bit look to them, and the music is really retro as well. It got a little annoying though, because it's basically the same song over and over just changed up a little. At first I loved it, by world 5 i was muting it. It doesn't take away from what you get in this package though. If you loved Super Mario 3, and like modern retro clones. you won't be able to put this one down. I played the entire game in one setting, I loved it. I loved the how i got to swim on some levels, slide across the level on the ice ones, I loved the suits especially the bee one just flying over levels when the ice got to risky to walk across. Play this one, and let us know what you thought. I think you will really enjoy it, and I think with the difficulty settings it can be enjoyed at any age.

Pros: Reminds me of Super Mario 3, that's a huge compliment
Tons game play, and easy completion for good value
Awesome enemies, and bosses, and special suits
Difficulty settings make it fun for every one

    Cons: Music a little repetitive

Overall: 7.5 Ratalaika keeps pumping out inexpensive, and fun little retro games and we can't stop playing them. Ratalaika's library keeps growing just like their fan's gamer scores and trophy counts. They have cemented their legacy on delivering quality inexpensive retro titles and we look forward to seeing what is next.

The evil Dr.ETvaldo has taken your Doggo, and it's up to Agatha and Wiloo to save him! Take on 3 Difficulty levels, through 50 stages and 5 unique Bosses. You play as Wiloo, collecting coins, and costumes with powers. The Bee costume gives you limited flight (there is an option to turn off this limitation on easy), making it easier to reach the higher platforms. To help you if you are having a rough time, the game will give you this costume if you die too much.. The Armadillo costume allows you to roll, even into enemies if timed right. And the Unicorn gives you the ability to shoot a short ranged attack to defeat enemies. Then the Turtle costume gives you directional control in the water. Each stage has 3 Big coins scattered around to collect. The game play is more around patience than skill, on a whole taking your time makes it much easier. The 5 bosses aren't too hard, the first two being very easy to defeat. You will unlock bonus stages, that are just something more to do, with no real reward. This game is a fantastic game to introduce a new gamer of any age to the platforming experience. There is only one sound option, to turn it all of or not, this includes the the game play sounds and music, so it's all or none. A great game for kids, and those looking for a cute, and not too hard game experience. Expand

easy game for 1,000 achievement score. you only have to play to the end of world 2 to achieve them all in basic gameplay. really not wortheasy game for 1,000 achievement score. you only have to play to the end of world 2 to achieve them all in basic gameplay. really not worth playing after that. the only difficulty is the cheap deaths it gives you by hiding enemies, pits, and passageways with the foreground. it's just the same stuff. maybe good for your kid or something, but not likely. it's very rudimentary... but I was playing Super Mario and Zelda on Nes before I was 5 and I still enjoy those classics today.

bottom line: do yourself a favor and revisit any of the Super Mario platformers instead of this, unless you want the easy achievements. just really not worth it in my opinion.
