Outrace your opponents… or crush them to scrap! You can fight them up close or use one of the many power-ups scattered throughout the race. Unlock and collect the 20 toy cars, each with their own statistics, by playing through career mode and then improve them by installing upgrades or changing their paintjobs. In the end, this game is sure to do one thing for you: revive that crazy larger than life feeling of playing with toy cars when you were a kid.

    There is a lot of imagination and heart gone into the making of Super Toy Cars 2 on Xbox One that oozes out of almost every corner. Career mode is an absolute blast and I will never tire of smashing up opponents – or myself when making a bad judgement on one of the obstacles. The game is slightly let down by only allowing two players locally – four would have made this a gaming night essential – and the lack of modes online, but there is still masses of fun to be had here on your own.

    It may not look like a top-notch racing game but Super Toy Cars 2 surely provides a great deal of racing fun that's hard to put down.

    I am not a fan of serious racing sims, luckily this is far from that. But it’s not solely a Micro Machines/Mario Kart clone either. It’s found its niche somewhere in the middle and it’s quite enjoyable to play. With a variety of power-ups and cars, there is plenty of fun to be had. I feel this game would have benefited if it opened up online play other players other than just friends.

    It is the ideal game for the little ones in the house, or for those who want to have a fun time with a few races without all the complexity of many games.

    Super Toy Cars 2 is one of the worst examples of this genre I’ve played in the past few years (surprisingly not the worst). The visuals, much improved over its predecessor and a decent soundtrack are its only saving graces.

Super Toy Cars 2 is a whacky, highly enjoyable yet at times challenging cartoon racer game. As standard you are given a variety of different race types, from standard race to a full on demolition derby! Super Toy Cars 2 offers up a great selection of cars and different cups in the career mode to cater for each type, from Anything Goes to Supercars! During the course of the career you earn money and that can be used to upgrade each of your cars, offering up basic upgrades that you would expect, like engine, gearbox, tyres etc etc, along with this you will also unlock paintjobs for your car to really make it stand out. Progression through the cups is locked to a star point system, these are earned by competing in cups and the higher you place the more money and stars you earn. Though should you choose to not go this route the game does provide you with a single player and online mode to sink your teeth into. The level designs are great with a huge amount of detail in each one, the bright colors really pop as you race along and launch a rocket into the back of the car ahead or take a electric shock send you and several others spinning out. Super Toy Cars 2 has a lot going on at any time on screen, from the cars, the track, obstacles (moving and stationary), power ups and on track animations, however the game runs silky smooth and it's glorious! Overall: Not much wrong with this game at all, it's fun, it's simple, it offers customisation (albeit fairly basic), it's competative and it offers multiplayer. Racing fans who are looking for something a little less serious and a lot more whacky? A must play if you're looking for a fun racing game at a low price of admission for your Xbox One.… Expand
