  • Summary: Super Star Blast is a space based game with challenging levels of increasing difficulty. All enemies must be shot down to finish a level and go to the next one. A scanner around the player tells roughly where the enemies are located.

    Super Star Blast provides a relatively decent experience in the early stages, with the draw of upgraded ship elements and Gamerscore harvesting the only real things to keep you going back for more. But once the former of those starts to become unattainable, and the gameplay continues to provide the same old spin, chase and blast style mechanics, this is a game that begins to get pretty old, pretty fast.

    Super Star Blast is a player-centered top-down space flight game. Similar to the game play of Asteroids, Super Star Blast brings so much moreSuper Star Blast is a player-centered top-down space flight game. Similar to the game play of Asteroids, Super Star Blast brings so much more to the table. Blast your way through asteroids, and enemy ships while avoiding collision. One hit means death, so utilize your omni-directional control! Gather points to purchase upgrades to your weapons, gain shields, and new ships for extra lives! The game is rough in the beginning, once you get to the enemy ships, but stay vigilant, the game has plenty of upgrades to your weapons to make victory a clearer path. But as you progress you will face an ever growing collection of foes, from stationary turets, to spinning debris. With a multiplayer vs mode you can also challenge your friends to dogfights, and see who is the better space pilot. The sound effects are very spacey, and fit the vibe of the game well. The music is catchy and also flows well with the game play. For it's price, Super Star Shooter is a steal at it's low price. A simple game that does exactly what it sets out to do.… Expand
