    An amazing return to form for the classic series. Not only a sequel faithful to the tone and feel of the original, but a fantastic game on its own strengths, one I would recommend just as strongly if it were a new IP. Also has one of THE most infectious soundtracks in recent memory.

    Fantastic game! This new Streets of Rage entry manages to keep the classic gameplay style SoR that fans love, yet evolved with a deep combo and juggle system that requires player skill and training. It feels rewarding and fun to master the characters.

    Amazing graphics with very detailed and fluid animations running at 60 frames per second. The music and sound effects keep the high    Fantastic game!     Streets of rage 4 is stylish, challenging, funky, and tons of fun. You don't need to be a retro beat-em-up fan to enjoy this spectacular revival.

    SoR 4 is just the Best Streets of Rage of all time. Musics, very fun Technical Gameplay, Good difficulty, art direction, Wonderful ambiance. Unbelievable

    The new Streets of rage is absolutely incredible, and I went right back to my childhood when I played it on Sega MD. Thank you to the developers for bringing back such a great game taking all the best from the past. Minus for me one - it is short.

    I’ve been waiting for this game for years and it was well worth it, still has the feel of the original (which I still play for time to time) but with a fresh flavour. It’s much harder than the original aswell but that’s not spoiling it for me. I love beat em ups and they just updated the best one ever. To make things even better it’s day one Game Pass too.

Стоит отдать должное разработчикам - проделана скрупулёзная работа, начиная с арта, приятной общей визуальной картинки, музыкальной составляющей в духе лучших частей серии (ещё бы, привлекли создателя с первых двух частей) и заканчивая бережным сохранением старых механик и грамотным привнесением новых, при этом ничего не сломав по пути. ВиднаStreet of Rage вернулся во всей своей красе! Стоит отдать должное разработчикам - проделана скрупулёзная работа, начиная с арта, приятной общей визуальной картинки, музыкальной составляющей в духе лучших частей серии (ещё бы, привлекли создателя с первых двух частей) и заканчивая бережным сохранением старых механик и грамотным привнесением новых, при этом ничего не сломав по пути. Видна любовь к наследию: в некоторых моментах просто хочется орать в голосину с отсылок на предыдущие части, ну и очевидный факт того, что добавили всех персонажей с предыдущих частей со всеми механиками. Лучшего продолжения и пожелать сложно. Об оптимизации говорить глупо, всё работает как часы. Ставлю 10 и иду играть дальше!)

    PS: На низкие оценки от игроков можно просто не обращать внимания, так как это ньюкамерский вброс, а игра всё же делалась с большим упором на аудиторию не понаслышке знающую серию Street of rage    … Expand

    Just amazing. When it was the Tuesday before release it suddenly dawned on me that this was coming out in a few days and I was very excited and as we all know, don't get excited you'll only be dissapointed. Well not with this.
    Truelly brilliant. Played through the whole thing with the wife and loved it (she has no taste and prefers Golden Axe... Urghh). It's a perfect modern sequel, even    Just amazing.     Maybe it is not pure 10, some bosses could be better, game is not so hard, but this game is very very good
    Arcade mode is best mode for me, thats real SOR, story mode is more for players who do not want real chalange and for me when i want to play with my son :) I grew up on Streets of rage and Sega genesis, so this is something what i was waiting 25 years. Thank you!

    If you like Streets of Rage you'll love this.

    Most of the original cast returns with new or original un-lockable versions.

    Choice of retro music plus the great music normally.

Everything new added to the game works and gameplay feels just like back in 1991. With tons of stuff to unlock, old character designs with original move sets and arcade mod where you need to beat the game in one go... Just to name a few.… Expand

    Wow... what a blast I had during my playthrough of this magnificent game! Without a doubt, this game is an absolute MUST for fans of the fighting/side-scroller/retro/beat-em-up type of games! The selection of unique characters with their own unique fighting styles and abilities truly does give this game so much diversity compared to other fighting games, whilst also minimisingWow... what a blast I had during my playthrough of this magnificent game!     Streets of Rage 4 is a slice of nostalgia heaven. This belated sequel was released 26 years after the previous installment and it's great. The love that went into this project is very apparent. It respects the legacy while embracing the standards of today. Graphically, SOR 4 is made up of gorgeous cel-shaded art work. It looks terrific by default, but you can use filters to remove detailsStreets of Rage 4 is a slice of nostalgia heaven. It respects the legacy while embracing the standards of today. Graphically, SOR 4 is made up of gorgeous cel-shaded art work. It looks terrific by default, but you can use filters to remove details or "demaster" it with 16-bit graphics. There are 12 levels with comic-book story panels that appear in-between stages. The online play is appreciated and so is the unlockable content. As you progress in the campaign, you'll earn retro skins for Axel, Blaze and Adam. After you finish the game, you can play a Boss mode, Battle (Vs.) and Arcade (no story). I also liked the modifiers that change the food power-up appearances and their sizes. Each of the three difficulty levels can be quite challenging. While there are a few things that keep this from being perfect, some fans might find this to be the best in the series. As a piece of nostalgia, I would rate this with a 9.3 out of 10.… Expand

There is 4 player local but not online unfortunately, but likely a wise decision to keep the game as playable asStreets Of Rage 4 provides many hours of replay ability and a wealth of un-lockable items and characters. There is 4 player local but not online unfortunately, but likely a wise decision to keep the game as playable as possible and to at least offer an online option for those without couch co-op buddies to hit the streets with. The soundtrack is as good as and even better than previous games in the series, and there's the option to have the retro soundtrack that you love and will hum to from memory. Streets Of Rage 4 feels exactly how it should, it takes a step forward in the franchise without leaving the old fans behind. Everything you enjoyed from the old games remains in tact while adding to the overall enjoyment the long time series has always delivered. I have a feeling as a gamer who is old enough to remember the awe from the release of the first game will undoubtedly fall in love all over again and new players will still get the same draw we did so many years ago. The return of old foe and the variety of new keeps things fresh and always planning a new strategy for victory. While the classic moves remain the new concept integrate with the quality you’d expect as a veteran of the franchise. The environments are well crafted and transition very nicely as you traverse thru the streets of rage. At the end of the day, everything you’d expect is back, and it's nostalgic as you wished. Smashing cars, breaking mailboxes, picking up pipes, eating plump turkeys, and laying some sweet co-op beat-down on the streets. The graphics are stylized and sharp, with smooth animations. Controls are responsive and tight. So, whether you played the franchise over 2 decades ago, or are a newcomer you simply shouldn’t hesitate, dive in with a buddy and rage on the streets. The price of admission is more than fair considering it comes in less than half priced the other games of the series when they released, so as a fan of the long running franchise this is an absolute must buy for your Xbox One library.… Expand

Gameplay is smooth and fun, the characters are cool and differ slightly which makes replaying with them all enjoyable (5 times so far, once online) Old sprites are unlockable and you can have the retro music instead, though the new music is good. Хороший визуальный стиль и чувства что играешь в ту самую игру из детства не отпускают до финальных титров, после которых к слову хочется сразу начать игру заново. Очень радуют бонусы. Из недостатков хочется отметить плохой онлайн,Хорошая игра с хорошей боевой системой и гибкой настойкой уровня сложности, хочешь пройти не напрягаясь пожалуйста вот тебя изи, хочешь вызова ставь на хадрд!     Streets of rage 4 is a wonderful game. I’m a huge fan of the series and part 2 is honestly in my top 10 greatest video games of all time. Yes I grew up with Nintendo and genesis so I’m a bit on the older side but still enjoy gaming. Anyhow this game is fantastic and beautiful. As of 5/11/20 the Xbox one version is still missing the first patch update that allows for numerous video settings to be enabled. I’ve contacted dotemu and lizardcube and they did say the patch is coming but I think it’s ridiculous that it’s been almost 2 weeks and us Xbox owners still haven’t received the update. It’s been disappointing but all we can do is wait at this point.. But again this is a great game and I’m really happy it was released. Just please dotemu release the update already.… Expand

    A new adventure from the Streets of Rage universe, with all the essence, with the main characters and with all the spirit of the 90s. Go back into the streets and fight with all the villains to clear the city of crime and corruption.

    Whether you’re a fan of the originals or not, Streets of Rage 4 is a blast from start to finish. Satisfying combat, incredible music and visuals and tons to unlock mean this should be sticking around on your hard drive for some time yet. A lack of 4 player online is a disappointment, but otherwise what’s here more than makes up for the long wait.
