    Streets of Rage, known as Bare Knuckle (Bea Nakkuru) in Japan, is a trilogy of beat 'em up games developed and published by SEGA in the 1990s.

    Famously known for its non stop action and electronic dance influenced music - scored by Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima - the series has gained the status of cult classic throughout the years. It is considered one of the best beat 'em up series of all time. After many years, Axel and Blaze are finally picking up the fight where they left.

    Featuring hand-drawn visuals from the team behind 2017's gorgeous Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap remake, Streets of Rage 4 builds upon the classic trilogy's gameplay with new mechanics, a fresh story and a gauntlet of dangerous stages with a serious crime problem. Streets of Rage 4 recalls classic gameplay but it stands as an entirely original arcade-style romp thanks to the expertise of Guard Crush Games and Dotemu.

    Whether players gang up with a friend or clean up the city solo, Streets of Rage 4 is a skull-bashing, chicken-chomping delight all set to a thumping soundtrack sure to get your blood pumping.

    Features:

    * The comeback of the legendary Streets of Rage series.
    * Beautiful graphics fully hand-drawn animated by the studio behind Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap.
    * Classic gameplay enhanced with brand new mechanics.
    * Soundtrack by a wide line-up of world-class musicians.
    * Braised chicken served on a pristine plate.

    If you haven’t sampled the genre yet, there’s no better way to get into it right now than Streets of Rage 4. Streets of Rage 4 is by far my favorite beat-em-up, and I’m glad to see it in such an amazing conversion on mobile. Hopefully it does well like Dead Cells did on mobile and leads to a whole new audience discovering this amazing game. It feels surreal going from the announcement trailer from Dotemu a few years ago to the game delivering in spades on all platforms, through its DLC, and now with an excellent mobile conversion. I look forward to playing it online as well once the multiplayer update hits in the future.

    Streets of Rage 4 is a faithful sequel to a hit beat 'em up franchise that still manages to shine even after two decades. The mobile version will supposedly introduce multiplayer functions in a later update for free, but until then, you can rid those streets of rage alone without assists and still have a lot of fun - just remember to keep an eye out for those whole chickens someone keeps leaving behind trash cans for some reason.

    Straight-forward Gameplay, controller support, and a lot of retro charme in its presentation make sure that Streets of Rage 4 is much more than just a blast from the past. Factor in the additional modes and the good level design, and you have a game that beat-em-up fans should not miss.

    This best-in-class brawler makes its way to iOS in an uncompromised state, but still has the same warts of other games in the genre.

    What's worse, for the most part, you can't customize the on-screen controls. You can control the size and location of the D-pad a little bit, but you have absolutely no control over the size or location of any of the attack buttons, which feels insane compared to other, similar mobile games.
