    There is a huge amount of content for you to get to grips with and the best thing is that the content has tons of variety which means there is tons of replayability as well. The presentation side of the game gets a lot of things right and both the visuals and sound design make the gameplay a very immersive experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay because there are quite a few different elements in play at the same time and these elements combine together flawlessly. There are lots of weapons and lots of enemies you can use these weapons on and I’m pleased to say that defeating these enemies never got boring. The puzzles that are present in the game are pretty creative and they do a good job of breaking up the usual gameplay. Sometimes the shooting mechanics in the game didn’t feel as smooth and responsive as they should have been. It can be a little repetetive when played on your own so I do recommend that you play the game with others. Does Strange Brigade do enough to get a recommendation from me? All in all I’ve been following Strange Brigade’s development quite closely over the last few month’s because from the moment I first saw it I was intrigued by its uniqueness and it looked like a game that was right up my alley. Thankfully after sinking a number of hours into the game it’s quite clear that Strange Brigade has had a lot of love and effort placed into it and when the game gets into full flow you end up having a fantastic experience. There just seems to be always something that’s going on in this game and every little intricate part plays a vital role in the overall setup, which in the end means you very rarely get bored with this game especially when played with other people. It can be a little repetetive when played on your own and you do notice a few issues with the shooting mechanics when played this way, but this really is the only problems the game has and when it’s all said and done Strange Brigade gets a massive thumbs up from me because it really is very good.… Expand

    Not Bad. It has a certain charm. It is quite intense when the mummies and zombies raid in large parties. the puzzle elements add a twist.
    graphically above par. For me just like the excellent sniper elite 3 and 4, this game is enjoyable and looks excellent value for money, IMO.

    Pire, la voix off du "narrateur" assez horripilante donne un autre côté hystéro-bouffon à l'ensemble dont on se serait bien passé, sous couvert d'un humour (?) des plus douteux pour ne pas dire très bête. Le jeu reste assez joli et tout-à-fait jouable, car étroitement dérivé de ZAT, lui-même dérivé des Sniper Elite 3 et 4... mais sans l'infiltration évidemment ! Quand on vous parle de recyclage, ce n'est pas qu'une simple vue de l'esprit ici...

    C'est pour ça que j'irai quand même jusqu'à 2, pour l'effort. Un effort bien paresseux et bâclé, indéniablement.    … Expand

    you choose one of 4 charcters to go through this campaing either solo or with friend.. I played solo.. and this game is super challenging if you do so.. not dark souls level, but you really have to carfully pick and choose battles, here youll be running around these little maps, shhoting the undead in your way, and solving super simple puzzles.. that’s it.. that’s the game.. its super hcarming with its chaacters and narration, but otherwise this is a world you’ve seen dozens of times.. its easy to get bored with how repetitive and unenjoyable it actually is to get through if youre playing by yourself… maps here feel like overwhelming mazed despite being fairly linear.. so why not just make then linear in the way a division or outriders is… I for one am not a fan of feeling overhwlmed in games, and strange pregade constantly made me feel this way… youre basically running around trying to find puzzle, solve, it, or clear a room to move on.. where the fun comes in.. at leastp laying solo is when you find these special crates oyu ca buy epic weapons from and just clean house,.. this is when strange brigade is at its best.. when I was having an absolute blast… otherwise if youre playing solo, there isn’t much fun to be had here…there is no amazing story or crazy moments during the campaign that begs you to push through.. this feels like a game where you have a bunch of dumb fun with friends, shoot some undead while a 1930s voiceover narrates everything going on.. and for that reason I can appreciate what this game is and what it sets out to do….
    its just a shame its hard to enjoy playing alone..
    Bring some friends though, and Strange Brigade can be a blast

    This is my first time reviewing anything on Metacritic but absolutely loved everything about this game, the style and voice-acting, specifically the narrator, were perfectly done and never annoying as tends to be the case in many games if not done properly.

I enjoyed the horde-level like ending of each mission and the fact that you're able to go straight back into the battle at the latest check-point is great if you need to leave.
    I easily and honestly give this game 10/10 but that's maybe because I love the kind of movies that this game represents and am really intrigued by ancient Egypt so it's maybe just the perfect game for me... my only disappointment is that I've finished the campaign but looking forward to any future updates they bring as the game-play and game engine is solid!
    This game is on Game Pass right now which is the only reason I gave it a go, I would never have known of it's existence without gamepass.    … Expand

    This is more fun than Rebellion's other co-op game "Zombie Army Trilogy". It's in the tradition of "Tomb Raider", but has a humorous tone. Each level is expansive and packed with puzzles, secrets, loot and enemies. There are four playable characters with their own special abilities which can be upgraded. The weapons that you carry and find can also be powered up. While the campaign, timeThis is more fun than Rebellion's other co-op game "Zombie Army Trilogy". It's in the tradition of "Tomb Raider", but has a humorous tone. Each level is expansive and packed with puzzles, secrets, loot and enemies. While the campaign, time attack and horde modes can be played solo, they are best played with others. Graphically, the game looks great with 1080p resolution and 60 fps. Fans of fast-paced action/adventure titles will have a good time with "Strange Brigade". I would rate this with an 8 out of 10.… Expand

    Although I rated this a 10, it is not all perfect. Let me cover some cons: you can't fire from the hip, and there is no sprint button. The sprint activates after a few seconds of walking. Pros: the game looks really good and it is dripping with atmosphere. I absolutely love the 1930's Egyptian feel. The Narrator who speaks throughout the game, is charming, witty, and refreshingly funny.Although I rated this a 10, it is not all perfect. Let me cover some cons: you can't fire from the hip, and there is no sprint button. The sprint activates after a few seconds of walking. Pros: the game looks really good and it is dripping with atmosphere. I absolutely love the 1930's Egyptian feel. The Narrator who speaks throughout the game, is charming, witty, and refreshingly funny. The enemy variation is GREAT! I cannot say enough how I loved the different enemies and bosses. The game felt fresh every level. Levels were different enough to keep me engaged. I had a great time playing co-op with my brother and that doubled the fun.… Expand

    If you're in the mood for a co-op shooter, Strange Brigade is a worthwhile pickup. The game has many unique modes of play that keep it from getting repetitive quickly. I had a lot of fun with the game, especially in co-op, but also in single player as well. The game mainly shines when fighting enemy waves and all modes focus on enemy combat but there is some good variety thrown in during campaign to keep it feeling fresh.

    Despite some of its shortcomings; I highly recommend playing Strange Brigade. Yes, the loot system can leave much to be desired, and the gameplay can be a bit frustrating at times, but it’s great fun, especially with friends. Oh, and the addition of lots of collectibles and a horde-like mode add a high replay value. It’s a solid title to add to your collection. Grab some friends and go onward Brigade!!
