    Yes it’s weird, and yes it’s wacky, but Straimium Immortaly is worth a play.

    Straimium Immortaly is a very odd game and a lot of it doesn’t make sense, though the weird designs and colourful layout has some charm about it. However, the game is not very fair and is downright tough when you can’t tell on screen what can or can’t hurt you and what is a power-up. The game has an old-style feel to it that you always strive to do better than your previous attempt. But with such childish writing and busy screens it may put a lot of people off.

Combining NES shoot-em-ups like Sector Z and Gradius with Metroid sci-fi spaceship exploration, big boss battles, oodles of unlocks, and the modern procedural generation magic that keeps gameplay fresh." states developer Anthony Case. The follow-up to Caiysware's Skelly Selest, Straimium Immortaly boasts loot, upgrades, bosses, weapons and a procedurally-generated landscape – all rendered in a psychedelic, pixel-heavy art style. Straimium Immortaly is a 2D Side-Scrolling Shooter Rouge-Lite Dungeon-Crawler Action Game. Digest that for a second, because it gets weirder. You control what looks like a turtle with a jetpack and a laser gun. You are referred to as a Ninja, a Holy Warrior, and your mission is to defeat the evil Queen... I think. The creature talking to you should be voiced in crayon, it feels like a Gungan Child taught to speak by Uncle Jar-Jar (If you don't get the reference I'm sorry in advance if you google it). The wording is simplistic with a lot of "ies" added to words, and it made for a bit of internal digestion before I thought I had figured out what I was told. I highly recommend you play the tutorial as it explains most things. With tons of bright colors and animated backgrounds, mostly in similar shades to the foreground, it sometimes made it hard to tell what was a threat and what was decoration. Cubis Crawl is the actual game, and it's random procedurally generated maps creates a new adventure every time you find yourself back at the title screen. The only Progression you seem to make that can be kept are the mutations, allowing you to alter the game in some way, like making it deal a bit less damage to you for example. you can also change your character if you've unlocked any. There is also a place to enter a seed, so you can challenge the same map more than once! This is a bizarre game, but that's not to say it isn't fun, as I enjoy games like this. (You always started over from the beginning on the older games, as saving your progress was once unheard of).
