    Stone fails to hold up against the trendy descriptions and catchy phrases. Having a linear, short, and boring story, matched with a lack of polish and zero gameplay creates a package that is hard to suggest to anyone. If you’re looking for some recommendations for talented indie musicians, Stone has your back, but otherwise it was a disappointment.

    It's admirable that Stone goes for a more casual gaming experience by not asking too much from its players, but visiting the same locations over and over and talking to the same characters again and again can only sustain a title like this for so long. Even at around three hours of gameplay, Stone feels downright monotonous most of the time, even when its narrative is firing on all cylinders. Some meaningful dialogue choices or a basic morality system probably could have offset this, but at the end of the day, Stone is too simplistic and boring to be worth it for most gamers.

    STONE arrives at an uncomfortable middle more akin to a pile-up than a tightrope balancing act. The anthropomorphized backdrop feigns a more peculiar and memorable adventure, but the story is mostly lifeless and forgetful. It’s another third-person walking sim that’s not bothered to utilize our protagonist’s skills in any interesting or tangible way. Add on a fifteen-dollar retail price and you’re left considering a few rounds at the pub has more value, and I doubt our marsupial lead would protest to that.

You are Stone, a Lonley Koala PI, and you're looking for your mate Alex. The game is all about atmosphere, with quirky humor, and stoner rock infused in it's every moment. The game is surprisingly short, as I beat it in less than two hours. The characters are well written, and each dialogue brings a bit to the scene. There is nearly no interactivity in the game aside from walking around and talking to the various characters that inhabit this world. The story is gripping and impressively emotional in a way I didn't expect. I feel more could have been done here, a lot more. Even with that said what is presented, is presented well. The price on Xbox is a bit steep I feel for what the game is. I Loved the art style and animation, tho out of sync at times, it added to the overall feel of the game. Without spoiling anything there isn't much more to say about this title. I enjoyed my time as the lonely Koala, if enjoyed is an applicable term, as he was depressed for 99% of the time. Stone is a great story with a fun presentation, but I'd wait for a sale to grab this Short, yet entertaining game.… Full Review »

    Purchased this off the digital store this is a funny game I laughed heaps a great comedy stoners would like this
