    Not sure what everyone is complaining about. There's as incredible amount of hardcore changes: upgrades and mods for everything, very few cars on my map, you actually need fuel(!), bigger and more complex bases, less supplies, more complex society, more facilities, more weapons, tougher "blood" enemies, better survivors interaction, better societies, other groups standings. Just awesome.Not sure what everyone is complaining about.     State of Decay 2 is an extremely satisfying and unpredictable management simulator, a solid action and survival game. It is better thanks to wider and more varied environments, character progression, better graphics, improved interface. New multiplayer components and strong cooperative help make it stand out from its predecessor

    10 hours in I was in my last car, my settlement had low morale and I drove to the other side of the map to complete a crucial mission. To get there I took a character from my base and also teamed up with another enclave. The hope was to turn things around, make my base happy and grab some crucial supplies, whilst completing a mission, which was needed in order to keep one of my top10 hours in I was in my last car, my settlement had low morale and I drove to the other side of the map to complete a crucial mission. The hope was to turn things around, make my base happy and grab some crucial supplies, whilst completing a mission, which was needed in order to keep one of my top characters from leaving. Just as I was completing the mission my accompanying base member perished dropping the morale to a further low. The enclave member then perished while we were making a break for a new vehicle ( I ran out of gas). Not to be deterred I hopped in the vehicle, low on energy and injured and headed back to the base in the dark, headlights on. I turned a bend, hit a bloater and the gas killed me. My main character died. Then I respawned at the base taking control of a different member only to find out my second main character had such a low morale that she was leaving. Now only 3 members left, all low ranking, infested and bloaters everywhere. I need to turn this around. I didn't so I restarted the game. Another 10 hours in and I have a bigger base, better characters and avoided a repeat of this scenario by the skin of my teeth. I love this game, fantastic. If you like the first you will love this. A few bugs, but not many on the Xbox X.… Expand

    Game is not as bad as people says, the are overexaggerate the whole thing. Of course there are some bugs, but the game is definetly playable and the whole franchise is not for everyone. People compare this game with God of War which is really really unfair. The hate towards Xbox is getting very stupid now. If you are not sure about getting it, try GamePass. Its cheap.

    Great survival game IMO.

Yes there are still bugs present in the game but as far as my personal experiences go I haven't had this kind of fun in a game for a very long time, I love survival games I can play with friends and I enjoy helping them out in sticky situations.

    I enjoy the way exploring works and I enjoy that you can help people when you want to, the game doesn't force you to veer away from the main quests but I find my self setting off to do one of the quests only to find a survivor in need of help, or an Ally becomes under attack. Trading is a great system in the game that actually has meaning unlike many other RPG games where you can basically craft or loot your way to victory. Not saying you cant do this on SOD2 of course.

    Look I'll be honest, I have given it a 10 purely based on people rating it a 0 for a game that has improved since the early access, but at the same time I am comfortable with that rating as I have truly enjoyed growing my colony and giving them my own little backstories haha.

    Please do yourself a favor and give this game a go if you enjoy survival elements, base management, or even 3rd person Action. Caters for a lot of audiences, or go pickup a copy of 7 Days to Die which is a great game too haha    … Expand

    O melhor jogo de zumbi ja feito. Last of us não tem a mesma complexidade e sensação de apocalipse que esse jogo possui. Graficos estão otimo, jogabilidade excelente e fluida, bem melhro que tlou por exemplo, mas o que os molequinhos haters do xbox vão falar é a história. É um jogo de video game, quer história vai ler um livro, ver um filme, ou jogar os fmvs que a sony chama de jogo. QueO melhor jogo de zumbi ja feito.     Ive only been playing single player but Im having a blast. The game does have a few issues, but it NAILS the fun factor.
    Not many indie devs make non procedural open worlds, but undead games do a really good job, day and night cycle included. The combat is simplistic and easy to grasp.... and for anyone calling    The first thing I would like to say is make sure you have the update patch.

    I had a ton of fun playing this game.... and see it getting better over time.

    Very addictive game play. Managing the community is tough and can get frustrating but finding resources and carrying out missions is a blast. I had to start a new community after 4 or 5 hours and I'm doing much better this time around. Definitely a game worth checking out.

    I've had a few missions glitch to where I couldn't complete them but it's nothing game breaking. Co-op is available    Very addictive game play.     This game is not a 10 but doesn't deserve the scores it's been getting. From what I remember, the original game had tons of bugs but that's sort of what made it fun. What I'm saying is if you liked the first game, you should definitely buy this one. If you never played the first, buy that first to see if you like it. This is basically more of the same which is fine by me.

    Muy bueno juego, sobre todo en lo que respecta en el lado táctico en un mundo post apocaliptico. Parece que cada cierto tiempo agregarán más y más contenido, así que siempre hay cosas por hacer.

    State of Decay two is too expensive and too buggy to deserve this rating. However, It deserves better than a 5.3 user score. It's more like a 7. I'm sure it will reach slightly past the first game in ambition after a few updates.

    This game has been an absolute blast! Even better after the most recent patch.

    A brilliant game nothing more to say. Sensual but very eficases mechanics, resource management, extreme tension assured and great design of enemies. If you like zombies, gore, sandboxes, action games, horror, and survival horror, you can play quietly. Now if you are looking for dying ligth or dead rising, this game is not for you. Jugalo will love you.

    un buen juego, entretenido, adictivo y divertido, muy merecido un 8 o un 8.5, pero esta vez le daré un 10 por la injusticia que hay de muchos usuarios que de lejos se nota que ni lo han jugado y le dan un 0 de automático solo por ser un juego de microsoft.     It looks too good and apparently cooperation will be key to survival without leaving behind the planning. Apparently I will have incredible graphics and a mechanic of cooperation remembering to be of thieves where everyone has an important role without leaving anyone behind

    Me parecio un grandísimo juego,mejor que su primera parte. Los bugs que tiene no los veo tan graves,han habido juegos mucho peores pero la prensa sonier casi les besa los pies,pero como es un exclusivo de microsoft,la prensa sonier y los palurdos fans de la empresa ladrona que dicen haberlo jugado les dan una nota absurda e inmerecida!! Muy buen juego y espero que triunfe porque se lo merece :)

    The amount of negative reviews is downright BS. Everyone holding this 30 dollar game to the standards of full priced AAA studios. Ridiculous. SoD2 improved on every aspect of its predecessor. Period.

    Its not perfect for sure but critics and users scoring it lower than the first game are just ignorant.

    Ya sabíamos que todo iba demasiado bien. Hemos perdido a Olivia. Cole no pudo hacer nada para salvarla de la horda de 'ojos rojos' mientras él destruía el núcleo de Plaga. Casi perdemos a los dos. Afortunadamente, tenemos buena provisión de curas.

    I am loving this game! Only game I’ll play for the rest of my life! Sick of the people that have not even played it reviewing it after they saw a YouTube video on it. A rarity to have such a great developer treat the community with respect (no loot boxes, respectful price point, etc). The driving mechanics are great, the sense of danger intense. Yes, there is a few bugs, but think of theI am loving this game! Only game I’ll play for the rest of my life!     Don't believe the hater hype. Can only imagine those guys are jealous PS4 owners, or people reviewing the game who have not played it. This is a solid game. Apart from a few non-gamebreaking bugs, which amuse rather than annoy, everything else about this game makes it a GOTY for me. Game of my life even! Thank you Undead Labs!! Love this game.

    It's state of decay 2, an indie game for only 30 dollars. It's much better than the first game, the most of the comments here, are from haters. Stupid people without enough money to buy the two consoles (Ps4 and Xone), and for that reason they are constantly talking trash about the console they don't have.

    Really fun game with friends there are some bugs but besides that the gameplay is fun scavenging for supplies and building a huge base with different facilities and facility mods.

    I've spent 30+ hours on this game so far and I am baffled at where all this complaining is coming from.. I have had zero glitches, zero bugs and the gameplay is very engaging. I smell a smear campaign because the score here just does not compute with my experience at all :/

    lets get this right. this game is buggy. but... everyone puts it to the steak. no one ever complains about glitches. "it will get patched out later." when its a Xbox game its terrible. this game has a fun gameplay loop. stop scoring things low just because ur in a ps4 fan club. 50% of the reviews have not even played it. we do leave bad reviews on ur game. unbelievable.

    I’m going to get things straight here. I have over 15 hours on this game and I’m having a blast. The fighting, driving, and looting all feel smooth and right. This game is more about survival than story and I’m liking that for this kind of zombie scenario. Most people that are upset point to Co-op. My guess is they do not know that Co-op is handled peer-to-peer. I also bet they have never bothered to run the 'multiplayer' test on their xbox or looked to see what NAT type they have,This is a great game. Simply some of the most fun I've had in a long time. I have encountered a few minor bugs, but nothing like some people are claiming. Most people that are upset point to Co-op. My guess is they do not know that Co-op is handled peer-to-peer. People who thinks it is way to hardcore is because they can't handle that I respect that but don't say it sucks because it's hard to play you should've done research.     This Game is awesome if you love open world games, it is packed with 3 maps that are huge, and it is also a thriller and a challenge. Ive played it for 30 hours and is quickly becoming my favorite game.

This is State of Decay 2. I agree that even after the updates the game still has some bugs on the Xbox, but nothing to spoil the experience. This game is not a 3-person shooter, no. Is it a strategy game where any failure will lose your character and you will not be able to play with it anymore? Base leader? More evolved? It's over. Take another one and let's start again.     After dozen of hours played, i can tell that is one of the best experiences ive played so far in 37 years old. Bugs fixed (99%), great atmosphere, sound, research, etc etc...

    A Must have for action/tactics players.

    Jogabilidade divertida, nas dificuldades mais avançadas você deve ter uma administração impecável, suas escolhas e decisões não diretas tem impacto profundo na game play, além de ser divertido de mais de jogar com os amigos e evoluir o seu acampamento, se gosta de um jogo raiz de sobrevivência esse é pra você.

    It is a wonderful game. It is very addictive and the graphics are very good. I have spent entire afternoons playing this game.

    I really do not understand the bad grades that the game has. I guess the game was buggy at launch, but from my experience I can say it's a great 10/10 game.

    I didn't expect this game to be so fun and addictive, since it has had reviews in its launch. I guess every weak aspect has been improved and updated. The characters feel human and engaging. Environment, gameplay, and reward cycle are simply great. Every raid could be your last.

You can think of this game as GTA (similar open world, driving, and shooting gameplay) meets Sims (community management, base building, resource management) meets survival zombie game. Your characters permanently die once they are dead but you can recruit new ones. You upgrade a lot of different aspects of your gameplay, from upgrading each individual's stats to giving them perks, to upgrading your base's buildings, resource upkeep, upgrading regular vehicles to armored cars, etc. nearly every aspect of your control you can upgrade which is what I liked. Once you beat the game you can take three of your survivors and start a new community. Depending on which type of character was your leader when you beat it the first time, you unlock a special perk that adds onto your new community with up to four different perks. So you can beat this game 4 times. There are 3 different open world maps you can navigate and every character is different than the last. There are some issues that need to be ironed out like some bugs but if you go into Settings and switch to Offline so that nobody can join your game you will see way less bugs, at least from my experience I rarely run into any issues in Offline mode. If you liked the first State of Decay I think you would like this but it plays out more similarly to the Breakout DLC in SOD1, where it's just an open world map with little story, opposed to the main campaign. With the Ultimate Edition you will get some item unlocks that will be included with purchase but way more in a DLC pack coming later. There is also a completely different campaign DLC that will be released in the future also in the Ultimate Edition pack. All in all, I love these games but there are not for everybody and things can get really hairy, your community can just start dying, people can leave your community, etc. if you're not on top of things but once you get a good grasp on the cake it becomes much more manageable.… Expand

    Excellent title, and while the gameplay loop does get a little repetitive, it is one of those titles that you can put up for a few weeks, and then come back to and it's still fun. I'm also a big fan of the fact that the develop is still constantly adding new features and content to the game 4 years later; it's not abandoned after a few months like so many other titles/franchises are.

Thankfully State of Decay 2 pretty much met my lofty expectations in all areas and despite it suffering with a few problems here and there it’s quite clear to see that this game has significant improvements over the original. The biggest and most enjoyable improvement for me was without a doubt the combat. The combat in the game is excellent and killing zombies never gets boring thanks to the varied and satisfying moves you can perform on the zombies. The gameplay on the whole feels improved as well and in my opinion it remains fun for longer. The main reason why it remains fun for longer is because it has more variety than in the previous game and this variety is definitely evident in both the missions you can undertake and the maps you undertake the missions on. If you like game’s that offer you lots of content then you will love State of Decay 2. I’m not exaggerating when I say that there’s almost an endless amount of replayability present in this game and the best thing is that this content can be enjoyed in both short bursts and long periods as well. When playing the game though you will however bump into a few bugs along the way, and whilst most of these bugs are small and not game-breaking they can still be frustrating and ruin the immersion levels somewhat at times. I was however able to look past these issues quite easily because you end up forgetting about them thanks to the different mechanics and elements the game has. Thankfully these different mechanics hold up really well most of the time and can be enjoyed in both single player and multiplayer. I must admit that I was really looking forward to the game’s multiplayer offering and thankfully when it works it’s really fun. The multiplayer option though does suffer with a few problems and they will have to make some tweaks to make it a better experience, but I appreciate the effort that has gone into the core idea though. Without a doubt one of my favourite things about the game was the presentation side of the things. Visually the game can look awesome at times and the accompanying sound design creates a very eerie atmosphere which in turn makes you become very immersed in the gameplay. At the end of the day if you were a fan of the first State of Decay then you will thoroughly enjoy State of Decay 2. It’s took what was good from the first game and improved it and even though it suffers with quite a few bugs these bugs still didn’t stop me from having a very enjoyable experience and these bugs also don’t stop me from giving the game a big thumbs up.… Expand

    Solid Zombie Rpg survival game with base building elements and IRON MAN mode.
    PC port is actually pretty good playing atm on 1440p with 90-110 fps. 1070 i7-7700k
    Keyboard and mouse controls are good ( had to remap some keys tho)
    Have almost 5 hr into the game and had few funny bugs witch none of them where game breaking.

    State of Decay 2's single player is a vast improvement when compared to the first. The gun-play and close combat feels better and sounds better with the satisfying sound design. Bugs are a major issue in co-op, but in single player I have encountered few.

    After couple of hours this game becomes addictive. You cannot stop - and it is designed in such way. There is no pause.
    How to describe this game? It is difficult, but: tower defense, survival, RPG.
    Pros:
    - Pretty deep RPG elements
    - Coop: map belongs to host, 4 players, loot sharing by dropping at the host base or on the floor, fight together, simultaneous and personalized loot locations and loot itself, facilities sharing, community materials sharing
    - Map exploration: well developed
    - Building and upgrades: well developed
    - Sound design is very good
    - Art and graphics are very good
    Cons:
    - Coop could be developed further - this area was underexplored. I wish that progress could be shared and map, though hosted, could be used even if host is offline. This was never done (or I have not seen decent implementation) before.
    - Coop limited because of the focus to cover solo/single player audience. When playing coop this looks artificial.
    - Bugs
    - Community roster cannot be shared. We could create and join community and then community could be synced to all players and every coop player could be bring something to the community and have almost equal rights. There could a place for drama, like going rogue etc.
    - Controls could be improved.
    When reading reviews you could probably see that solo players will give it lower scores. But even if you do not like this kind of games I encourage to give it a try - potential is here, I would expect coop modes to evolve into dedicated gameplay.    … Expand

    This games has been released since 18th May 2018 on early play and I must say I have had nothing but fun especially on multiplayer and the co-op tethering is a bit of a pain and the bugs on occasion can distract from the setting of the game. But these bugs will be fixed over time.

    Innovations in State of Decay 2 don´t solve any problems, but rather add some more. The game unnecessarily forces on its multiplayer and feels very impersonal. [Issue#287]

    State of Decay 2 is going to be very hit and miss for a number of people. If you can ignore the flaws, there is a fun game to be had when played with a friend. That said, even if you ignore its flaws, you can’t deny that this game was not ready for release.

    Generally State of Decay 2 looks more like a remaster of the original game than a true sequel. It just does not expand the formula enough and still contains too many repetitive activities that make you go through the motions for the sake of getting it done. That’s why I recommend playing it in short sessions. I have no doubt that people unfamiliar with the first State of Decay will enjoy the second one much more, as everything will be new to them.
