    Starlit Adventures is free to pick up so there’s no harm in giving it a go to see how you get on with it. But it’ll take hours of honest grinding before you can unlock suits, and perhaps multiple playthroughs before you have them all, which I can’t really imagine doing. It’s a fun adventure but not one that will leave you wanting more. And with its financial model, the latter is exactly what Rockhead are hoping for.

    Starlit Adventures is a Free-to-Play Down Scrolling Adventure. You play as Bo and his Starlit Kikki. Starlit are these adorable mole thingsStarlit Adventures is a Free-to-Play Down Scrolling Adventure. You play as Bo and his Starlit Kikki. Starlit are these adorable mole things with glowing stars on their noses. Starlit each have a sibling star in the sky and so long as that star shines, so do they. One Day the Dark Creature Nuru steals all the stars and scatters them across the world. Now you must venture through 64 levels, with 8 boss battles to find and restore the stars to the sky. The game is super chill, with bright and fun artistic styling. There are no time limits, but some levels are impassable without the right suit. There are micro transactions, but everything except three of the suits can be earned with in game currency. These three suits aren't needed to beat the game, and offer an edge that almost breaks the game. Microtransactions ate 100% optional and can be avaoided and still enjoy the game. Gameplay is simple, collecting the three stars on each level, and ridding down to the bottom. Almost any age should be able to enjoy the simplistic play and adorable art. Lost between several classic games that created their own genre, this game isn't just free, its good! Snatch it up, you've got nothing to lose but time, that will be filled with fun on your Xbox One.… Expand
