Sep 14, 2017Songbringer is an adventure that its creator has called the Zelda in a procedural world. A game in which you won't have two identical worlds thanks to the popular scenario generator system. A long and difficult adventure in some of its sections, with great doses of humor and a protagonist duet quite charismatic enough to delight those who grew up with the adventures of the young hyliano.
-
Sep 11, 2017Songbringer is fun and unique, although it borrows from some well-known mechanics. It's not unforgettable, but it is, indeed, an original adventure.
-
Sep 22, 2017A successful mix of Zelda-like and roguelike genres, with lots of surprises to discover and an inspired artistic look.
-
Sep 27, 2017Songbringer is neatly designed, written with wit and humour and has some fun gameplay, but it struggled to keep my interest through its entirety and I found it hard to replay dungeons after many a death.
-
Sep 6, 2017With medieval & cyberpunk inspirations, Songbringer is like the modern and fun version of The Legend of Zelda (in NES) that adds humor and interesting weapons but doesn't convince completely when we try to complete it.

Sep 18, 2017Songbringer is a good approximation of a classic exploration-based adventure – when it sticks to the overworld. The dungeons up the challenge in a very uncomfortable way and do little to support the game's strengths. Even though the hub fares better, it's still where the bulk of the grating story happens, so no part of the game is without its frustrations. Sure, throwing around a boomerang top hat has its moments, but it's not worth slogging through the dungeons to experience.
