Everybody loves Solitaire, and if you don’t, give it a try you might like it! OK so here we have what I believe to be one of the most extensive collections of card games and card game variants, with over 100 including an easier version of classic games, Solitaire 3D really does cater for all. The menu is very basic and dull but to be fair it allows you to pick a game and just go. The editor means you can customize just about everything to your liking as long as you are gifted in creativity skills! It does however come across as very basic and outside of an editor it is just a load of games with some having tutorial videos otherwise you have a lot of reading. I use this game just like I would use Solitaire on Windows, occasionally and usually for hours at a time. It’s an excellent collection of games but it does keep it straight and simple so don’t expect any theatrics or whizz-bang moments. Solitaire 3D does exactly what it sets out to accomplish, it’s Solitaire in 3D and it’s bought over plenty of content to play. Expand

You end up wondering who Solitaire 3D on the Xbox is made for. If there’s such a thing, there’s a ‘game archivist’ in a university or museum who’s rubbing their hands at the prospect of preserving 100 different Solitaire variants. For the rest of us, you have a monumentally over-priced compendium of games you won’t play, with controls that aren’t optimised, and with features that often don’t work.
