Is this FARCRY? No, but its helluva lot of fun. If your looking for a seamless but bland game stick to Call of Duty. This Game is made to have fun with. After 14 hours of play I have NOT run into any major bugs. Its not the prettiest but if you want an open world and weapons to collect with no hand holding then this is it. Its a leap ahead of wild lands thats for sure.

It's a very good game. I believe all those bugs can be fixed with update, it would be a lot worse if gameplay or sniper pechanics were awful but they're very, very nice. Give it a chance, reviewers.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a first person shooter that takes place in Georgia, the country
You play as American Marine Captain Jon North attempting to prevent another cold war…
The story sounds pretty generic, but things do start getting interested, and I did care for these character despite how generic they actually are.. one of them is basically elana fisher with longer hair and an accent..
Despite the game being called sniper, this isn’t a sniper simulator…
The words ghost and warrior hint at options… and that’s exactly what you get here
This is an open world game with a base that you use to buy new weapons you unclock from completing missions or picking up off of enemies, as well as buy ammo and gear and choose your next mission…
But this open world isn’t vast, it isn’t connected…
    it just exists…
it’s a world to put missions into and nothing else..
You have a buggy to drive around, but there are no other vehicles on the road and the ones off road are all locked…
There are points of interest around the map though if you are into the ubisoft style clean up…
Or you can stick to the 11 hour campaign
The campaign is fun to get through, and challenging…
Its satisfying scoping out the place with your drone, sniping out enemies from a distance and then going in for the objective, or being a ghost, sneaking in, taking enemues out silently while you try not to alert anyone or be caught on camera.. and then theres the warrior option of just going in guns blazing…
There are mandatory do not get detection sections of the game, but for the most part.. youre free to tackle a mission any way youd like..
You can even mix your play style up like I did…
This means youre going to be unlocking perks in all 3 skill trees for sniper ghost and warrior, but if you prefer one play style then that means of course youll be more decked out for that style with the skill tree..
    Missions are what youd expect…
Get a point on the map to go to and complete the objective.. nothing more..
And despite the missions structure being the same throughout, the missions all felt unique thanks to the great level design this game has…
    The game felt fresh throughout…
However the performance of this game brings all of the great parts down…
    For starts the load times…
    Theyre painful…
Some missions take place on different sections of the map.. and to get to these sectiosn you have to deal with the games initial load screen..
Which is 4 minutes long, I wish I was kidding, but the load time for this game is longer than this review…
    Its painful…
The game also froze trying to load in 2 times….
And the game would freeze and crash mid shot probably 3 or 4 times….
    its just not reliable…
and its only made worse by again the 4 minute load time to get back into the game and the fact that checkpoints in missions are so awful…
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is enjoyable,
The calculating, the scouting, the turning the dials of your scope to adjust to a targets distance..
All of this makes the campaign so satisfying to get through…
But the freezes, the crashes, the load times…
Theyre going to annoy… so be prepared…
I Give Sniper Ghost Warrior 3
    a 7.0/10

Sniper: Ghost Warrior has been an interesting if flawed series thus far with three entries to its name. While the first game was beyond mediocre and the second improved upon the formula in many ways but still didn’t offer much in the way of quality, the third time may actually be the charm for City Interactive. It’s by no means a perfect game but it is well on its way to being a decently good one and presumably once the upcoming patches hit and hopefully fix some of the glaring issues, we may finally see a competent modern day stealth-sniper title to rival the WWII and Cold War settings of Sniper Elite.

When all things have been said and done, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 surpasses it predecessors with ease but still doesn’t feel like it’s quite lived up to its potential or what it means to be a current generation game. It’s a competent and interesting experience and hardly a bad one, however it is remarkably hindered by a lot of technical issues and by the inability to capitalize one what could’ve been excellent additions in both depth and replayability. The main experience is well-done but the side content offers little in the way of recompense for a lack of reason to return once you’ve finished the linear mission structure.

Concept: City Interactive crafts their third entry in the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series and brings the series into both the current generation as well as the thoroughly over-saturated open world shooter market.

Graphics: Although it utilizes a version of Crytek’s CryEngine, Ghost Warrior 3 features some prominent graphical hiccups despite having really realistic and well-done visuals whereas weather and some environmental aspects are concerned at times.

Sound: For a game about stealth, sound plays an integral role in the experience at least in terms of gameplay. Outside of that however, there isn’t much to be said for the soundtrack itself although it does ratchet up the tension at some appropriate times. The sound design isn’t the best as far as voice acting goes but the sounds of bullets dropping and weapons and gadgets clicking isn’t too shabby.

Playability: It’s fairly simple to grasp the fundamentals for a basic runthrough of the game. As far as the controls themselves go, the game handles surprisingly smoothly and fluidly despite technical hiccups breaking up the pacing here and there at any given time.

Entertainment: Despite its flaws, Ghost Warrior 3 is as entertaining as games like Far Cry and Sniper Elite have proven to be for many of the same reasons. It’s not altogether original in what it seeks to accomplish and yet it seems to have aped the correct gimmicks and elements of those respective games enough to present a varied and entertaining main campaign.

    Replay Value: Moderate.

On the constructive side, loading times are really long for a modern console game - I don't understand how this was released with this issue considering this isn't a massive 'The Witcher" style game. There are also a few graphical glitches like pop-in, but critic reviews have been too harsh on the visuals overall. Sound is also dodgy - I cleared a camp and then minutes later the sound from that camp (miles away) were still playing.
On the positive - the game works. Sniping is fun, gunplay is solid and missions are varied. The map also allows side operations and treasure hunts so there is plenty to do, I just wish CI Games but a lot more polish into the game. It was already delayed - so why not hold out until it is a great game and therefore receives better reviews? Making the season pass "free" was a nice move though.
With SO many great games this year, I'm not sure whether I'll keep or return this game, especially with Prey released today. For people who like more strategic shooters, or a slower pace then say, COD, I'm sure you will get something out of it. There was a day one patch of 8.6Gb(!!!) which I hoped improved some of the critics reviews but it didn't seem to, but CI Games still has time to patch more but it may be too late for some purchasers.
Worth a go, but maybe buy it when it's cheaper.

City Interactive tried, but the game is not optimized out and boring. We used to interesting worlds Ubisoft, GHOST WARRIOR 3, the world is completely empty and not interesting. You don't want to learn it, and just ride from job to job. Georgia they came out beautiful, but it's too grey landscapes that you depressing. In the same Far Cry 4 was much petee ride and admire the scenery. Here everything is gray and dull.
In this game we can quietly kill enemies with a sniper rifle or loudly barge in and kill all of the machine. Sniper gameplay I like, we need to calculate the distance to the target, but if hit in the head, pluchery slowmo when the bullet in slow motion pierces the skull of an enemy. Ballistics in the game are normal. Here, the weapons felt.
The plot of the game is. Developers sometimes even try to present a drama or reveal the relationship of the protagonist and his girlfriend. But the game has no really interesting characters, and silently kill enemies from a sniper rifle or noisy machine can be in the same Far Cry. GHOST WARRIOR 3 loses creature Ubisof in all respects, and I just don't see the point to play GHOST WARRIOR 3, if you have Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4. Even if you played these games, that GHOST WARRIOR 3 will be a poor substitute - you will quickly get bored. If you want to buy up to the 75% discount, it is not longer necessary.
In addition to ballistics and sniper rifles I liked the animation. When the hero karapetsas, realistic touches, klogd edit in the car includes the ignition key and so on. The game has such nice things, but it's boring and not optimized.

Despite “Sniper” being in the game’s title, the primary gameplay loop to SGW3 is very reminiscent of games like Far Cry or various other contemporary open-world games in that it invites the player to tackle missions in whatever play style they prefer: Sniping, stealth or frontal assault. This “play it your way” style is also reflected in the game’s 3 skill trees: “Sniper”, “Ghost” and “Warrior”. Sniper is pretty self explanatory: getting kills with your sniper rifle, whether or not you’re holding your breath when you make a kill, kill distance and whether or not it’s a headshot. Ghost is more attributed to stealth: getting kills from in close with your sidearm, performing stealth takedowns and hacking CCTV cameras. Finally, Warrior is based more towards frontal assault: getting kills with your secondary weapon such as assault rifles, shotguns or LMGs.

However, despite the invitation to play the game your way, in my experience, I found the sniping to be the most polish and effective way of playing through the game. There is plenty of catharsis to scouting out the mission area, finding a good vantage point and then sniping enemies from on high. Like the previous Sniper Ghost Warrior titles, you have to factor in things like wind speed and direction, bullet drop off and elevation relative to your target. Click in and hold the left thumbstick to steady your aim and a ringed reticle will show up on your scope telling you where to place your shot. While this does take away from the overall challenge of sniping in this game, you playthoough pretty easily without using it, however, there were a few missions where I’m kind of glad that steady aim option. While not as visceral or detailed as the Sniper Elite series, the close up, bullet time, kill cams are still fun to watch as the bullet blows through an unsuspecting target’s head and he slumps to the ground. You’re pretty much given a silenced sniper rifle from the start, so there’s no need to grind different play styles in order to work up to it. Stealthing and frontal assault styles are both kind of mediocre. Stealth can be undone with inconsistent enemy AI and once you’re spotted, not only does everyone in the area know exactly where you are, but they can also rain down mortar fire that locks in your exact location with deadly accuracy. Firing secondary weapons doesn’t feel as gratifying as the sniping and you can die so quickly in a frontal assault, even on Normal difficulty.

Much like other contemporary open-world games, you can blow off the main story missions for a bit if you want to explore “Points of Interest”, complete Side Ops are take down various High Value Targets across the game’s three main sandbox maps. There are achievements tied to all of them and exploring certain Points of Interest can unlock special guns to use in the game. This is all fine and good and there’s certainly incentive to do these things, but I do wonder if SGW3 would’ve been better off as a more scripted, linear action game. Couple that with the fact that you have to commute to and from the safehouse in order to start your next mission and I started thinking that SGW3 didn’t need to be shoe-horned into an open-world game for the sake of chasing trends. There are a few other questionable mechanics added to this game, such as the ability to hide in lockers or dumpsters, the option of sleeping in a warehouse to pass the time, even though there it seems to have no effect on your physical fitness or combat capabilities and a crafting system even though the game’s economy gives you enough currency to buy everything you need. I also never got much use of equipment such as Bouncing Bettys, Claymores or the Early Warning devices, since there’s never a spot in the game that forces you into a “defend your position” Horde Mode. Ammo types such as tagging or explosive ammo were barely used in my playthrough. You can tag enemies with your drone and I only used the explosive ammo once during the tutorial when the game made me. A lot of these aspects of the game just felt like throwing **** at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Graphics wise, while SGW3 looks good from a distance, upon closer inspection, the various environment textures are of a lower resolution. I liked the lighting in this game, which helped distract me from some of the other graphical shortcomings. However, some of the weather effects like rain and snow are well done.

Overall, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is just a really mediocre and forgettable FPS with mechanics that have been featured and done way better, in countless other open-world games. I picked it up on sale for $10 and at that price, I think SGW3 can be a serviceable, bargain bin shooter if you’ve got a weekend to kill and are in between major releases.

A solid open world tactical shooter, with good mission variety and depth. It disappoints in the technical and story departments, though; it partially feels like a missed opportunity, but definitely a step in the right direction for the series.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a game of two halves. If you can look past the glitches, there’s a good game fighting to get out, and one with a lot to offer. This is a big game, and with the free roam map and variety of approaches that can be taken, one that offers a lot to the player. However, glitches that require a mission to be restarted, or for you to fast travel out of the area to get out of them, are not really on in this day and age. It is due to these that I have had to really think about my final score – do I score on potential or actual experience? In the end – as usual – I’ve had to put my actual experiences ahead. If CI Games manage to patch out the glitches, this game will easily get a half or full point more. But without it, it can be classed as nothing but average.
