    Overlooking the occasional technical fault, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is well worth your time and attention, especially if you’re a fan of the series. The game bundles together the core experience and all its pre-existing DLC, complete with additional extras and wonderfully remastered visuals. Comparing it to its original version is truly night and day, and it remains every bit as deep, as action-packed, and as brutally delicious as it ever was.

    Sniper Elite V2 is a good game at face value, and a great game if you’re into the genre or the franchise. The Remaster is very well done in terms of being complete, providing a massive upgrade in visuals, and sprinkling in a few new goodies as well. The core game still has some quirks and rust as it did originally seven years ago, but the overall experience, especially when played co-op with a buddy, is well worth it.

    If you're a fan of the Sniper Elite series of games then this game is going to be one you want to have in your collection, though only when it goes on sale. Instead of thinking of this as a complete ground-up rebuild of the game, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered just got a brand-new plastic surgeon. So, while the game looks revitalized on the outside, on the inside it's still a 7-year-old game that maintains the internal faults.

    Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a nice throwback in the series. While it is more linear than its follow-ups it still packs a visceral punch worth checking out. For those that exhausted the original it might be a tougher sell, but for anyone that passed it up the first time around it is definitely worth a look. Those slow-motion shots still never get old, even to this day.

    Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is not the game for you if you want bombastic graphics. But if you want to shoot enemies online from great distances with a friend, this is the game to play. The game is a bit short and has a few flaws, but the fun is there.

    A solid remaster job, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered offers ample reason to go back and prowl the streets of Nazi Germany, popping heads with impunity. There's a good suite of modes and extras on offer, and while the game itself is flawed, you'll still have fun with it.

    Despite dated mechanics, Sniper Elite V2 looks gorgeous – I preferred 60 frames per second over 4K resolution – and is a must for the collection of fans of the franchise. If you don’t count yourself in that camp but are looking for a unique and challenging shooter, I’d suggest heading over to Sniper Elite 4 first.

    Sniper Elite V2 Remastered comes back with a fresh look but with its original mechanics, which are still too rough. This game serves to bring back an unique approach that depicts the action from the point of view of a sniper in a remaster that no one has asked for.

    Sniper Elite V2 felt dated in 2012 and V2 Remastered definitely feels dated in 2019. The game is not terrible by any means, but it’s not particularly good either.

    In virtually every way, the series has improved in important ways since V2 – from a more intuitive control scheme to better level and mission design, more varied environments, and improved gunplay across the board. All of this makes it hard to argue that anyone new to the series should try V2 Remastered. It offers too many 2012 issues in a prettier 2019 package. However, if you're already a fan, these poorly aged issues are more forgiving, making Sniper Elite V2 Remastered worth aiming for.

I am always pleased when a game I previously enjoyed is remastered, because it usually means that I get to enjoy the game once more only it looks and usually looks and plays better than the original. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered definitely has improvements, but that doesn't mean it's the perfect experience; however it is a really beautiful and solid experience for fans of the series like myself. Not all the game's mechanics have aged well, though and this dated feeling may be off-putting for some and I think this will be mainly felt by newcomers of the franchise, as fans like myself will truly enjoy what is here for us. The game does excel in the amount of content it possesses because there’s something for every shooting fan in this game. The game is fun when playing on your own or with friends and with the game being some nice eye candy as well, you’ll find that this game is perfect to revisit. Those familiar with the series will feel right at home, but there are a few technical issues present every now and then. Thankfully none of these issues are game-breaking though and a a simple patch or update will likely resolve any issues in the coming weeks or months. As far as remasters go, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is actually a great addition to the franchise and the shooting genre. This game does just enough right that I think it should please both the new comers and the Sniper Elite veterans.… Full Review »

The campaign is most fun when playing cooperatively with an online buddy. However, gameplay is dated and clunky for 2019 standards. Still, if you're a fan of sniper games, you should enjoy it.
