    Sniper Elite 5 is, if only slightly, the best entry in the series to date. It's true that there are hardly any surprises or innovations to be found, as well as some bugs here and there. What it does is simply give us another one of Karl Fairburne's historically fictional one-man-army crusades of crushing Nazis in every way possible, detailed x-ray gore and all. The new Invasion mode isSniper Elite 5 is, if only slightly, the best entry in the series to date. It's true that there are hardly any surprises or innovations to be found, as well as some bugs here and there. What it does is simply give us another one of Karl Fairburne's historically fictional one-man-army crusades of crushing Nazis in every way possible, detailed x-ray gore and all. The new Invasion mode is also a blast. The main multiplayer unfortunately seems a bit dead on arrival. But even without that, it's still a well-rounded game with something to offer for every kind of third person shooter fan. Singleplayer with high replayability and playstyles, fun co-op with the survival mode and intense one-on-one encounters with Invasion. Overall it's easily one of the best shooters of the year so far, and yet another big win for Xbox Game Pass.… Expand

    If you liked Sniper Elite 4, then you'll like this too. It's basically "more of the same", but more expansive. The campaign has bigger maps, better weapon customization and assassination targets. Even with a co-op partner online, each level can take up to 2.5 hours. More so if you want to find every collectible. The multiplayer and survival modes return and are fun. Also, the new InvasionIf you liked Sniper Elite 4, then you'll like this too. It's basically "more of the same", but more expansive. More so if you want to find every collectible. The multiplayer and survival modes return and are fun. Also, the new Invasion feature allows a random player to enter your game as an enemy sniper. Fans of Hitman and Metal Gear Solid V should enjoy this entry. "Elite 5" may not be innovative, but it's an enjoyable action game. I would rate it with an 8.1 out of 10.… Expand

    Fantastic game. I totally blew this IP off as not-interesting. But once i started playing it, it is a fun blast to play.
    After 3 days, zero bugs other than NPCs might be stuck in a stair somewhere. but otherwise flawless.
    Technically its pretty nice on graphics. It shines best on distanced view. It is very addictive, and for once i aced everything on hardest difficulty. Playing it on    Fantastic game. I totally blew this IP off as not-interesting. But once i started playing it, it is a fun blast to play.

    It is very addictive, and for once i aced everything on hardest difficulty. Playing it on Easy is a breeze, but when you crank up the difficulty to realistic, you really have to be on your toes, sneak more. be aware and focused. Really changes the game for the better.
    Technically its great too. Excellent explosion effects. Blowing up tanks and cars really gives you bang for the bucks.
    AI is OK. But it sorta feels dumb when you blow up three submarines and the patrols around the pier keeps walking around like nothing happened. They should have made it more realistic by putting more chaos into it.
    Level design is very nice too, lot of narrow streets and hideaways. Some targets can be taken on up to three different ways. It gives the game excellent replayability.

    fall in sleep times while playing. all items you need to collect are inside houses, rooms, game play liked 90's as modelings.

    Year after year, the quality of "Sniper Elite" declines.
    Sniper Elite 5 - France - Received the worst rating by the way.
    Mechanics and movements are typical of unique robotic devices, the campaign lacks some improvements.
    And PvP? The experience will not be the best.
    I recommend that you leave this release in the ice bucket and wait for better days.

    Extremely disappointed, DO NOT BUY for sniping play !!!
    All objectives are DEEP INSIDE buildings! No long distance sniping chances.
    Even enemies out in the open are blocked by something in the environment when you get more than 400m away, because of the extremely poor pre-set routes you have to follow (no free roam here!) Skills matrix & weapons mods are boring/useless. It offers    Extremely disappointed, DO NOT BUY for sniping play !!!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Dissapointing right from the start, while I feel this could have been a great game which I was hoping for as a series fan, the controls totally derail any form of enjoyment this game could have offered its bad when previous games have felt better to play it feels like your sailing a ship with nothing but wooden spoons hopefully future updates fix this but for now a 5/10… Expand

    If you are looking for a game that will have you engaged for hours through combat, keeping your attention with new objectives to take on, and plenty of ways to play then you must check this game out! Any Sniper fans who have tried the others in the series will find this game to be just as great or even better. The experience is something, unlike anything else I’ve played before! Truly an amazing game!

    The gameplay mechanics and open world that felt fresh and fun in 2017 now feel outdated and stale. Combine this with levels that lack interesting vantage points or unique ways to kill enemies, and it wasn’t long before my immersion into the wacky world of Sniper Elite 5 went up in smoke.
