    If you're a fan of any of the social media personalities in Slide Stars then you'll have a great time sliding and flipping through its levels.

    Slide Stars on Xbox misunderstands everything that makes Trials HD great, producing a play-doh homage without any of the speed, trickery or finesse. Then it ushers in some moderately popular internet personalities, but doesn’t do them - or their audience - the service of including any of that personality.

    It’s a short-lived clunky game that is priced at a whopping 40 bucks. No way would I pay that for this game. This is an eight dollar experience at best. While it’s never broken, it is never something I found myself wanting to complete. In fact, I don’t see the proper audience for this at all. Obviously someone younger than me, but good luck getting a kid to play this one for longer than about 10 minutes.

    Slide Stars is a water park game that allows you to pick your character from a selection of stars. Players begin by choosing one of the available social media stars and their themed floatation device. At the beginning, the only options available are Luciano Spinelli and a pink flamingo tube. A tutorial will guide players through the basic controls for jumping, directions, and controlling speed. They’ll also run players through how to pull off “stunts” by tilting the control stick in one direction or another while in the air. Slide Stars is actually not all that bad, it’s just hard as nails and it is overly fun in an arcade style way. The gameplay sees you precariously balancing your rider, and depending on whether you’re piloting an oversized coin or a baby turtle, every vehicle controls slightly differently. Yet I don't know what to say to finish this review I mean I wouldn't pay the full price of admission for to this game it's kinda Subway Surfers with extra world obstacles and instead of drawn characters you playing with Stars, could have saved the money on generics for me personally.. You playing as a Star everyday in sports games too so it's nothing new. I found my experience surprisingly fun to be honest with a few levels of confusion mixed in as to where I was to go next or what was the best device to use to complete the challenges. In the end a solid game and those willing to pay the price for the game will no doubt enjoy it as much as I did.… Full Review »
