For its low price, there’s plenty of gameplay on offer; it’s a game that will keep you playing for a long time to come.

Skyling: Garden Defense is a cute, fun, and occasionally frustrating game. It definitely has its moments but it seems to fail nearly as much as it succeeds. Not too shabby for a 5$ game.

The bright and innocent atmosphere here gives off a walk in the park vibe that is undermined by the game's deceptively challenging puzzles. With seemingly no incentive given to each level's time and unlockable stars, however, Skyling missed out on an opportunity to challenge the player to continually outdo past runs and perfect each level.

With 30 different levels to play through and a satisfying $4.99 price point there's certainly value here for your money, but it's just too frustrating a game for most players to want to go through the torture of completing. Whilst this in itself may attract a more hardcore player than myself, the clumsy and unresponsive controls sadly make for a deal breaker.

Skyling is a port of a mobile isometric maze game that is shoved onto Xbox One with no thought or effort put in. The controls are often unresponsive and usually cause you to die.
