The story is absolutely hilarious and will no doubt have you chuckling multiple times during your time with the game. I really enjoyed the presentation side of the game because both the visuals and sound design have a retro vibe and both of them also create even more humor. It may not be the most innovative platformer ever but everything works well and the easy to pick up and play style makes the gameplay more fun. There isn’t a huge amount of content available to you I think they’ve got the right amount and it doesn’t overstay its welcome. There isn’t much variety present in both the environments and the enemies you have to face in the game. The game doesn’t deliver to you much of a challenge and I think a bit more of a challenge would’ve made more people interested in the game. Once completed your highly unlikely to return back to the game because there isn’t really anything that pulls you back, which is a shame. Does Sigi – A Fart for Melusina do enough to get a recommendation from me? The juvenile side of me came right to the forefront when I saw the word “Fart” and I knew that Sigi – A Fart for Melusina was a game I had to try out, and in the end I’m pretty pleased I did try it out. Don’t get me wrong this game is far from being a classic but what it does do is offer you a hilarious adventure without ever taking itself too seriously. I’ll admit to you now that the silly story had me chuckling away on a number of occasions and this did make me enjoy the game quite considerably. Another aspect of the game I enjoyed was the platforming elements because everything has been done well here and it never becomes too taxing. I would however have liked a little bit more of a challenge and more in terms of variety when it came to the enemies but the price of the game is relatively cheap and the content you get is good so in the end I have to give the game a solid thumbs up. There are plenty of games out there that offer long, involving experiences; think of the likes of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2. Sigi – A Fart for Melusina gives you the opposite of that, and it’s the type of game that we could all do with a bit more of.

A nice and entertaining retro platformer, very short but with a good price point to balance it and some funny jokes.

There is some enjoyment to be had in Sigi – A Fart for Melusina, but that fun quickly dissipates when you begin to feel like an unstoppable force in every level, including boss stages. Searching for hidden caves and grabbing a few hard to reach items definitely adds entertainment value, but the brief 20 level experience is made even shorter by a serious lack of truly fulfilling gameplay.
