    A compilation of Sam Stone's best adventures comes to Xbox. Unlimited action and enemy waterfalls in different scenarios of the world and history. It's time to get serious with Serious Sam Collection.

    Despite my griping about Serious Sam 2 not getting any love in this collection, I do think it is a great place to start with Serious Sam. Not only is it a set of great games, but there’s also multiplayer and co-op. This is a set of games anyone who has loved the new Doom games should at least try, and at the regular price of $30 there’s very little reason not to. Serious Sam 3: BFE still goes for more than this collection on PC by itself, no DLC. It’s a steal, especially if you can grab a friend to play the whole campaign with.

    Newcomers and vets of the series will probably find the Serious Sam Collection to be of good value and a reasonable HD port. The added frame rate and graphic options are a nice touch for this classic series.

    Sometimes you want to simply turn off your brain and shoot a bunch of aliens, and this is where Serious Sam excels, as not many brain cells are required to play or enjoy this collection. Like a movie that has a cult following, most won’t see what makes Serious Sam so special, but to those fans that do love the series, the nostalgia should be worth the price of admission, even if it’s priced a little high for little to no extra care or content added.

The concept merely being run forward, blast everything that comes your way, and try to survive the nuisance that are thrown your way for variation (too many enemies, platform sections that are as painful as can be, dark room where you can't see enemies, etc.).
    I'm a sucker for FPS but this is just plain bad. I've played the first two episodes so far, and gave up each one after a couple of hours. It's just frustrating : the difficulty is all over the place with close to no learning curve. So even if you overcome a hairy section of the level, you might not think "oh yeah, I was good!" but rather "hugh, what other stupid challenge comes next?"    … Full Review »
