    Samurai Shodown marks the return of a beloved classic, and although not quite as refined nor as deep as its modern contemporaries, the game proves that there’s still plenty of life in the franchise yet. Through staying faithful to the series’ roots, Samurai Shodown offers up a different kind of fighter, one that retains the strategic action and high levels of tension that put this saga on the radar to begin with. Whilst not great, it’s certainly bold and unique.

    A video game of fights with a unique spirit and a captivating art. The game leaves aside the basic mechanics to focus on a paused and very technical fighting style.

    This fighting game is nice due to all the swords but has not so much content. Therefore it's not a game you will play for month, more for a couple of weeks. Also the story is a bit weak and outdated.

Samurai Showdown takes us on an adventure into the methodical One on One weapon based combat of the Samurai, where every move must be decisive. Each fighter is outfitted with a wild array of visually stunning and powerful techniques and combos. They're important yes, but a strong defense and an eye for openings in your opponents guard is far more important. Button Mashing, and refusing to block tend to get punished hard with a well timed heavy strike, some of which can deplete over a quarter of a life bar, and drop you into the losing corner fast! Likewise well timed defense is often rewarded by creating an opening in the opponents defenses, maybe even giving you time to land one of the Once-A-Battle moves every fighter possesses! Even the fast characters need to think about when to strike and when to block, and if they have a big enough opening for a heavy strike. The soundtrack is well composed, feeling authentic, without compromising the Fighting Spirit needed for satisfying combat. If your a collector of the franchise, or looking for a fighting game where you feel accomplished when you win a tough fight, this game is a must have addition to your Xbox One library.… Full Review »

    Ótimos gráficos e gameplay nostálgico (remete aos dos primeiros jogos da série) mas com novos elementos mais difíceis de dominar.
