Sam & Max Save the World Remastered

Returning to playing a Sam & Max game sure brings back some serious nostalgia, and I’m so glad to report that Sam & Max Save the World still holds up to this day. Keeping in mind this genre isn’t as popular as it once was, it’s a glimpse into what early Telltale Games’ experiences were like, one that I surely miss. While it’s all been but explicitly confirmed by Skunkape, I’m now waiting for Sam & Max Season 2 and 3 to release hopefully sooner than later to continue the wacky duo's adventures.

Sam & Max Save the World Remastered brings back one of the best point and click franchises ever created to the Xbox. Humour, puzzles and a great story with new additions are here. Don’t miss it.

If you never liked the larger-than-life humor of the series, the often dry and dark jokes, or you grew up watching South Park there is nothing here for you. Sam and Max Save the World Remastered is a reminder of a different era, and what was in your face 15 years ago, not will feel outdated or childish. Still the remaster offers a very warm and cozy trip back to the golden age of point and click adventure games.

In the Sam and Max game series there are great games that take this pair of good characters on undoubtedly fun adventures. Sam & Max Save the World is an important moment in the series, even if it is not the best game in the series. Its wacky story, its black humor will always amuse you. And if you like point and click games, this one should definitely be a candidate to make it to your library. Its flaws are clear: solving puzzles can be more difficult than it should be because the logic of the game can be an obstacle. Plus an awkward control.
