This game tacklesSally's Law is a side-scrolling puzzle/platform game from Korean indie developer Nanali Studios and published by Polaris-X. This game tackles a theme as old as time itself, the struggle between different generations, relationships between parents and children, a the conflict between the passion of the young and caution of the elderly. This is the story of Sally, brought up by single father, whom was very loving but over protective of her. Sally journeys back to the home she left a long ago to purse her dreams. During this trip she reminisces about her father, how she used to resent him for not being there for her, but little by little Sally being to realize that her dad did his best and how she failed to notice it. All the obstacles she overcame with ease and the mistakes she avoided, he was there. The platforming gameplay is a simple but solid ordeal, which doesn't offer anything new, but does differentiate itself from other platforming games and to keep you playing. The brilliance about the gameplay mechanics is that they are intertwined with the story unfolding ing the game. Playing as Sally you are rolling to the end of the level, to the future and what it brings. While playing as her father, you watch over your daughter by clearing obstacles on her way and helping her to get thru the stages. This approach enhances the immersion by allowing you to experience the message and emotions of the story. On The down side the game is quite short and is not challenging in any way. Sally's Law offers a solid 2-3 hours of game time full of puzzles that are just hard enough to make your think but not too difficult to overcome. The platforming is a relaxingly experience, and smooth and moderately easy as well. The game is all about story and it does that very well. Visually simple yet fitting and the the music is fitting. The controls are very simple and the english translation is solid enough. A restart current stage option would be helpful as well as ability to restart the whole level without going back to the main menu. The way the story is told requires you to shift focus from the gameplay to read text or risk missing a piece of the plot. These are very minor issues that don't take away from the general experience but I figured they were worth mentioning. The price of the game is worth the admission even if it only gives you 2-3 hours of a great story accompanied by relaxing casual gameplay. Achievement hunters will rejoice in the short completion time so all in favor of this genre head on over to the Xbox game store and make the purchase of Sally's Law for several hours of relaxation and a great story,… Expand
