fighting was fun. graphics were awesome. story had a twist. chopping off limbs, always fun. good variety of combat...
what it needed was more story development, more cutscenes, so i can be more invested. and maybe longer, more expansive maps. even tho map design is linear, i dont want it to feel linear.

Interesting thing I would like to point out ; In the every other game I've played, whenever an action cutscene plays your character performs killing moves that you can not do in the actual gameplay. But in this one you can actually execute most of Marius' cutscene moves and this greatly increases the immersive feeling for me, makes watching the cutscenes even more enjoyable.

I also understand why some compare it to gow. Only thing missing is more variety of gameplay. In many other ways I found it more successful than the new gow games.
There are rumors that the sequel is in development, I hope it's true.

It also looks very good even without oneX improvement. It is admirable that they were able to give these visuals even on Xbox One, which is weaker than the PS4. I thought these images were only possible in racing games on this device.

When I look at it, One's launch games are really solid games. Way better than ps4's launch titles.
But unfortunately, these games did not get the attention they deserve due to the kinect-loving managers and terrible pr.

It’s a great game, I played it originally on gamepass then I played god of war 2018 and I was just wondering how this game was so much more fun. It made me like it even more when I found out it was an Xbox exclusive. If you like good combat games give it a shot, it also has a story I really liked.

    Story is good.
Gameplay mechanics are ok, my only complaint is; your hands and fingers get hurt and tired at some battles after pressing the buttons so many times, this game requires certain focus because enemies attack you from all sides, up to 5 enemies can be fighting you and you have to watch your guard, while you're in the middle of fighting one, another one attacks you from behind.

This launch title for the Xbox One is a case of style over substance. It's packed with cinematic pizazz and looks great. Unfortunately, the gameplay gets repetitive after a few hours, but it's still fun. Combat is comparable to Batman: Arkham Asylum. However, there are fewer attack moves and enemy types. Levels are linear with only a few areas that can be explored to find hidden treasures. This launch title for the Xbox One is a case of style over substance. However, there are fewer attack moves and enemy types. Levels are linear with only a few areas that can be explored to find hidden treasures. The campaign is a 6-7 hour adventure that features an intriguing story and fantastic visuals. While it's not a very long game, the fun two player co-op modes make up for the short length.

If there ever was a "Ryse 2", then plenty of additions would have to made. "Son of Rome" is an enjoyable action title that lacks variety. If your expectations aren't high, you'll probably have a good, gory time with this one. It's the only Xbox One game that adapts the PS4's emphasis on storytelling and cinematic cutscenes. I would give it a 7.3 out of 10.

Empire of boredome... Game is beautiful even in 2023. Camera is terrible and may make you sick, and I am not that type of person talking about camera angles in games. Gameplay is run forward and press hit to beat all enemies, which are only 3-4 types. You will not miss anything, if you skip this game.

I love and hate Ryse at the same time. It was the first game I bought for the Xbox One and first I was stunned of the great graphics and setting. After some hours it all became a bit repetitive - especially the finishing moves. Nevertheless a very funny game. Overall rating: 7,5.

Ryse Son of Rome was truly a next gen title for Xbox One at the time. Unfortunately, Xbox gamers only seem to like COD and Fortnite. Take this game and put it on Sonys platform and it would be an 85 all day long. I throughly enjoyed it -it was different and we needed different at the start of a that Gen. Definitely one of my favorite Xbox One titles.

The game looks great, and keeps you going at a nice pace.
Minus points are that it crashed multiple times on me while playing it. Also, not all things (such as the d-pad keys) are explained very well. And the final boss (not N.) was rather "frustrating".

Answer: 75 characters is between 10 words and 19 words with spaces included in the character count. If spaces are not included in the character count, then 75 characters is between 12 words and 25 words.

Advance in a phalanx and raise shields with my fellow soldiers. Kill hundreds of barbarians with deadly combos. Yes, that is my cup of tea!

The game is easy, combat is very basic - block, roll, strike. For that, that's perfect. I only play occasionally so I don't want a game where I have to learn the controls all over again after not playing for a week. This one is just grab the remote

Ryse: Son of Rome, pertenece a esa categoría.

Ryse: Son of Rome, pertenece a esa categoría.

Ryse: Son of Rome es básicamente un hack and slash.

Ryse: Son of Rome is a really good looking game, but at the same time incredible stupid. Thanks to the graphics and the amount of brutal combat the adventure managed to entertain, at least for a bit. If you find Ryse on sale it can be worth a closer look, but for a full price game it’s a disappointment.
