Risk: Urban Assault, while flawed and bare-bones, has renewed my interest in Risk. Risk’s biggest issue, pacing, is only half-solved in Urban Assault with the “Fast AI” system. Most Disappointingly though, it lacks any semblance of a campaign.

Risk: Urban Assault is a decent game wrapped in a terrible package disrespectful of the player and their time. It throws pointless animations, cutscenes and bloat into a board game that is already well known for being a soul sucking grind. If this was just a board game I’d begrudgingly recommend it to people who really like Risk but as a video game I find it hard to recommend to anybody.

I believe this is Not functioning correctly in the Campain mode of the game only. "Against AI Opponents" ??? The Custom player mode seems to be good. The modifacation concept for this version of RISK is kind of interesting. It brings new elaaments to the original classic. If the dev's chould fix the random # generator and bring another mod or two to this game it may recieve more interest in the board game community. Along with a better rateing. Its not a terrible game idea for fantacy war gamer's that enjoy table-top adventures on the internet etc. Expand

The "random" number generator is anything but - CPU opponents will routinely roll a dozen or more 6's in a row, impossibly winning in a 15 to 1 defensive situation. It completely ruins the game and butchers any possibility of fun. Avoid this buggy piece of crap at ALL COSTS. Expand

As stated by the other reviews, the "RNG" as well as the AI is beyond broken. There simply doesn't seem to be any fix from what I can find, and after three hours being unable to pass even the first mission, I had to give up. Terrible game with game-breaking bugs. Ended up seeking a refund from Xbox. Expand
