However you will have missed out on something really special If you leave it at just that. This game was designed for you to be sitting next to your friend. I play a significant amount of co-op games, but Rez Plz scratches an itch I didn't know I had. They turned "friendly fire" on its head and gave me a world that I can spend hours in, ignoring story, and just mess around with a buddy. The puzzles were fun. The pixel art is super creative with really cool death animations and sprites. The game mechanics put a very refreshing twist on a platformer. I did find it awkward to feel natural controlling the duo at first but in the end it just becomes second nature and is a new and refreshing experience once you find yourself at home with the controls. If you are a fan of the genre you will be right at home but the controlling of 2 characters working on one goal definitely gives REZ PLZ a unique feel in the Xbox One library, Expand

REZ PLZ on Xbox One is one of those games that comes alive with a friend. It’s good as a single player game, but multiplayer just lifts it to another level. If you have a spare friend lying about the place, I can heartily recommend this game to anyone. It’s tougher solo, there’s no doubt, but it’s a good challenge, and if you like inventive ways to kill cute characters then look no further.

REZ PLZ brings us a unique spin on the co-op puzzle platformer, and it’s one that mostly succeeds. The way it forces players to co-operate using each other – literally – is gruesome, yet hilarious. Graffiti Games managed to come up with some ingenious methods for killing our heroes in the name of progression and with a willing partner there’s a lot of fun to be had here. I’m grateful of the solo mode too, though there’s no denying it’s far from the best way to play. Grab a friend, a few drinks and you’ll no doubt have a blast here.
