    Fantastic first half, but the second half seemed like it was by a different team and a different game and was a bit forgettable. Still excellent up until that point and well worth playing, however.

Fabulosa reivindicación de la saga RE, cuenta con entornos tétricos muy inmersivos, un sistema de creacion de recursos muy intuitivo y funcional, armas perfectamente balanceadas y gráficos que al inicio me dejaron perplejo por su realismo, solamente carece de un protagonista interesante y de una amplia variedad de enemigos, tambien sufre de poca rejugabilidad pues una vez sabes como resolver todos los puzzles, el logro que requiere completar el juego en menos de 7 horas deja de parecer una locura.… Expand

    No tengo mucha experiencia con los RE y este la verdad me encantó, no hay duda que esta saga es de los pilares del terror y esta entrega es brutal.

    I welcome to return to Survival horror after a decade of action games for the franchise. Exploring around to solve the puzzles, get new weapons and escape this house of horrors is such a refreshing experience. First person works really well in this as well.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Easily the best Resident Evil to date. Followed by the Resident Evil 2 remaster in my opinion.

    Pros:

    The story is insanely smooth. From the minor side characters such as Clancy to the 'villains', the family and Eveline to Ethan. Each of the characters are well put together.

    - The atmosphere in the game is hugely eerie in the best way. the setting of an old abandoned out of the eye house, the basement, the swamp, the caves, the garage, the barn house, the ship and the Incinerator area. Every area is memorable.

    - The family has depth. They aren't just conventional 'evil' characters. They are victims as much as the protagonist.

    - The graphical advancement from the previous games (barring revelations 2, which is also a great game) is a huge positive.

    Cons:

    - I do feel like of all the characters, Ethan is the weakest character which is a shame because he's the protagonist. Despite this he's still a fine main character in perspective of a horror game.

    - Although there is story reason and some variation, the basic enemies lack diversity.    … Expand

    Even though Resident Evil 7 Biohazard ditches the third person point of view to a first person and a more intimate story, it does an amazing job of bringing back its roots which made the series so successful. The extraordinary work that was done in the different game departments such as story telling, audio, gameplay and graphics will keep me from sleeping at night and remembering it as a great experience.

    Resident Evil 7 seems to us an indispensable game if you like the adventures with action and puzzles, but with a great inconvenience: IT IS SO SCARY. Keeps you heartbroken for hours and that is everything that we wanted from this title. Stay away from the prejudices you had about this game of the Resident Evil saga, because you will love it without a doubt.
