Reed Remastered is a Fast-Paced 2D 8bit Platforming Game. You play as the Creature Reed, created by a supercomputer as a last resort to save its beautiful Digital World. You play as the Creature Reed, created by a supercomputer as a last resort to save its beautiful Digital World. The computers cubes are out of sync and need recalibrating. You control Reed, a cute cat-like creature that must now navigate the many hazards caused by the miscalibrated cubes. This game will test your platforming skills, then press them to the edge. The stages aren't very long, but some of them pose insane pixel-perfect jumps that test your platforming skills. The game challenges you to 50 levels of varying difficulty. They range from "Wow that was easy" to "How many times am I going to die!?!?!" The game isn't as difficult as some similar titles, but it poses just the right amount of frustration to make you say "I'm going to beat this damned level!" at least a few times. The only issue I ran into is Reed's hitbox, a few times, I would turn around beside a spike, and it would kill me because the shift in the hitbox made me touch the hazard. Even with that happening a few times this experience just made me be more careful in similar situations later. Are you up for a challenge? Reed Remastered is a delightfully hazardous platformer and kept me pressing forward death after death. If you Love hardcore platforming, this game is a bite-sized parkour playground with a tiny price tag, fit for adding to your collection. Expand

This is an easy game to recommend to any platformer fan or achievement hunter but ultimately Reed Remastered fails to make a lasting impression.

Don’t mistake Reed Remastered for a quick or easy indie title (or achievement grab – I didn’t mention earlier that this game is published by Ratalaika Games) because there is more to it than that. It’s a solid platformer that focuses more on mechanics than aesthetics, and it’s hard enough to challenge any gamer that prides themselves on their reflexes and skills. Reed, the cute character in the promotional material, looks like a cotton ball or a mini-marshmallow but represents something more like the Stay Puft giant from Ghostbusters.
