    The idea of this game is appealing, but the execution fell short and didn’t give enough to fall in love with. It feels like a game that you would play a couple of times before becoming bored and letting it gather digital dust at the bottom of the game pile. There’s no story, just basic single player and hectic multiplayer action, both of which become frustrating pretty quickly.

    Rebound Dodgeball Evolved is a top-down futuristic twin stick shooter. With tons of neon, glowing scenery, Rebound is placed in a futuristicRebound Dodgeball Evolved is a top-down futuristic twin stick shooter. With tons of neon, glowing scenery, Rebound is placed in a futuristic setting adding it's own dimension to the game of Dodgeball. Take to the arena in this competitive high paced free-for-all on the couch split-screen, or online. Using the left stick to move, and right stick to aim you rush to the center to claim a ball. Right trigger throws the ball, and you can hold it to "charge" your throw. Left trigger initiates a dash with a small cooldown, allowing you to cover a short distance, and small gaps in no time. Once released the ball will bounce from wall to wall until it runs out of momentum. Use your Dash through the ball, moving or still, to catch it, and try not to get Hit! The simplicity of the controls, and game concept makes it easy to just pick up and play, but the high speed of play makes it a game you'll need to practice at to get great. The variety of arenas keep the matches interesting, as each one has it's own set of angles and obstacles. The game can be set to teams, but free-for-all fell far more intense, and fun. The hard polygon styling of the character skins adds to the futuristic feel especially when coupled with the neon graphics. Overall Rebound Dodgeball Evolved is a fun game, but shines best when you have friends to play it with you.… Full Review »
