    In absolute terms, R.B.I. Baseball 2017 doesn't come anywhere close to looking as nice as MLB The Show 17, even when you play The Show in retro mode. This should come as no surprise, since R.B.I. Baseball doesn't hold a candle to The Show in any other respect, either. This year, however, marks the first time since its return that the franchise isn't a total embarrassment, either. Its improvements are modest — but when you've reached the depths that R.B.I. Baseball 2017's predecessors have, modest practically constitutes a miracle.

    R.B.I. Baseball 17 is the prime example of a series being milked to death. What started off as a great idea of bringing arcade baseball back into the limelight has turned into a bona fide disaster, the likes of which we rarely see. I feel sorry for anyone who picks up this game assuming it would be better (or even different) than last year’s installment.

    R.B.I. Baseball 2017 is not a good baseball game. The game is plagued with bad fielding controls and animations, along with awful base running controls that will make you feel like you are playing against yourself. The hitting and pitching are fine, but not nearly good enough to keep you wanting to play more. The lackluster variety of modes is hindered even more by the absence of online multiplayer, making there even less to do than last year's game. If you are looking for some sort of MLB experience on Xbox One, this is pretty much your only option. If you're looking to play a good MLB game, though, then, unfortunately, you own the wrong console.

    Play super mega baseball instead of this game. Bought it last week and literally played 2 hours and quit.

    **** gameplay for sports game I've ever played. Brutal. Shame on the creators for making such a cheap and lousy game.
