    Perfect Collection dispite my dislike to old school graphics before the nes and Sega master consoles but I gotter say I love the collection of Rare gems even the old school games from before Sega and Nintendo were great playing if only Rare made another collection I'd definitely be in overall I didn't regret my purchase every game here is perfect for this marvelous collection

    Hands down the best Xbox One exclusive, and also the best gaming compliation ever made, comprised of masterpieces made by the best gaming company of all time, Rareware.

    Well what can I say...more than half of this game has shoddy incomprehensible "blasts from the past" that are just as enjoyable as plateful of nettles...the only games that save this sordid boat from sinking are the re-vamped version of Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie, Killer Instinct Gold, and Blast Corps. The N64/Xbox/360 ones are just squeezed in in the assumption that gamers have been living in a cupboard and never encountered games such as the lush Perfect Dark Zero, Banjo-kazooie Nuts and Bolts (with the still-lingering reallllyyyyyyyy sloooowwwww ffrrrrraaaameee raaaattteeee)...and the (so-awful-I-nearly-cried) Grabbed By the Ghoulies...the 8-bit games range from pathetically pointless to God-I wont-go-near this-trash-again...I mean why they were put in this collection in the first place is beyond me, unless people were desperate for a history lesson on games that were mostly unheard of...and speaking of history....there are some long-winded yammerings per game...and some videos to perhaps enjoy...but what would have been better was a more diverse collection of games, that gamers could relate to...where were Goldeneye, WWF Wrestlemania, Marbale Madness, and Donkey Kong Country 1-3, for crying out loud?!… Expand

    Literally just got this for 7 bucks. I just wanted to play Banjo-Kazooie and got this bundle cause it was cheaper than buying the XBLA version. I got a bit distracted by the other games and now i‘m seeing myself playing these classic games all the time. Literally the best deal ever

    Simply one of the greatest compilations of games EVER. If only Rare could make one that actually consists of all there titles. Maybe with MS and Nintendo playing nice, they might make something happen.

    This is one of the best collection of games iv played. The effort put into the presentation is spot on and the quality of games in this package is enough to satisfy everybody. Its also sold at a decent price at launch. Its a must get for Xbox One owners. Also no MTs or horrible business practices.

    Gran cantidad de juegos clásicos de Rare, de cuando se hacían llamar Ultimate, incluso muchos creados para Nintendo. Estos recopilatorios ya se merecen un cien por traernos de vuelta buenos juegos de otras épocas.

    I don't own an Xbox, but i know all the games that are in this collection and deserves my vote. It sucks that Xbox one exclusives games sucked this generation and never made me buy it after having the 360.

    What can I say? It's a collection of 30 of the best games Rare has ever put out for $30. You can't go wrong here. I literally have nothing negative to say about this game except that I just don't like a few of the games. Which still leaves 27 or so games that are awesome. Probably the single best value for your money this generation. Even if this just had Conker's Bad Fur Day on it aloneWhat can I say? It's a collection of 30 of the best games Rare has ever put out for $30. You can't go wrong here. I literally have nothing negative to say about this game except that I just don't like a few of the games. Which still leaves 27 or so games that are awesome. Probably the single best value for your money this generation. Even if this just had Conker's Bad Fur Day on it alone it would still be worth it as it retails for like $60-100 physical.     Rare replay contains many of rares old games and they've done it great. They gave us games such as banjo and kazooie, cronkers bad fur day and perfect dark just to name a few. There are some little emulation problems but it doesn't ruin the gameplay

    So far my favorite and most often played game on my xbox. More than Halo, more than Gears, just awesome. Cant say more good about it.

    This is by far the best collection game yet. This is basically a collection of games that can be hard to find for a cheap price. There's not too much to do in the extra modes, but there's not a big lack of things either. If you already have a lot or all these games, then it may or may not be worth it, but it might still be good to get it since it's all on one disc.     Voilà une compilation très agréablement présentée, un véritable voyage dans le temps qui en matière de jeux vidéo va de la préhistoire jusqu'à nos jours ou presque. Il faut dire que Rare est l'un des rares développeurs qui ont survécu à la tourmente de ce monde sans cesse en mouvement, dans ce milieu où, on le sait, les empires et les succès se font et se défont au gré des faillites ou desVoilà une compilation très agréablement présentée, un véritable voyage dans le temps qui en matière de jeux vidéo va de la préhistoire jusqu'à nos jours ou presque. Il faut dire que Rare est l'un des rares développeurs qui ont survécu à la tourmente de ce monde sans cesse en mouvement, dans ce milieu où, on le sait, les empires et les succès se font et se défont au gré des faillites ou des rachats.

    On mesure l'évolution et le chemin parcouru en jouant ou en rejouant à ces reliques des années 80 -accessibles ici dans leur état d'origine- ces fossiles qui font bien rigoler maintenant mais qui émerveillaient déjà les gamins d'alors. Pour ma part, ce voyage m'a fait apprécier encore davantage les jeux d'aujourd'hui et la formidable industrie qu'ils sont devenus : dire qu'ils étaient si **** avant, si chétifs, bricolés avec trois bouts de ficelle et un peu de chatterton... et deux types dans un garage, ça défie l'entendement.

    Bien sûr, les jeux de la décennie 2000-2010 ont souvent assez bien vieilli et le dépaysement est nettement moins grand mais on mesure là encore tous les progrès accomplis.

    Cela dit et ces lauriers quelque peu fânés -et nostalgiques- ayant été tressés, force est de reconnaître que Rare a rarement fait des bons jeux ou rien de vraiment valable à tout le moins et qu'il se sont spécialisés dans le domaine de l'enfance voire de la petite enfance depuis des lustres. Ainsi, il eut mieux valu qu'ils se fassent racheter par Nintendo, le petit artisan moustachu beaucoup plus en phase avec leur approche généralement niaise et constipée.

    Nonobstant cet état de fait peu amène il est vrai, cette compilation s'avère très instructive et le moment s'avère ainsi, il me semble, bien choisi pour Rare de tirer sa révérence, lui le développeur du passé très décomposé.    … Expand

    This is a great Xbox One game, definitely doesn't deserve all the 0's the sony fanboys are giving it. Its better than all ps4 exclusives, and you can't play this game on PS4.

Including Banjo Kazooie, Killer Instinct, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark, Cobra Triangle, Battletoads, RC Pro AM, and Kameo, to name a few. This collection is an interactive museum of the evolution of console gaming from Commodore 64, to Nintendo 64    Lets dive right in, shall we?

    Presentation: 10/10 Thirty games spanning thirty years in almost every genre you could want on a console. Including Banjo Kazooie, Killer Instinct, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark, Cobra Triangle, Battletoads, RC Pro AM, and Kameo, to name a few. This collection is an interactive museum of the evolution of console gaming from Commodore 64, to Nintendo 64 to Xbox 360. A near-perfect tribute to a studio with one of the richest and diverse libraries the industry has yet to see.

    Gameplay: 8/10 Some games play better than others. The pre-NES titles were clearly products of limited technology and pioneering mechanics that have since come a very long way. It shows, but these games are more here because they were significant to the history of the studio. When you have thirty titles, there are sure to be a few more lackluster than others. I can say that after a patch that fixed Jet Force Gemini, I have hope that another patch could tweak the few hang ups I found with certain other games. It's got Battletoads though. That counts for alot.

    Graphics: 8/10 Solid throughout. Frame-rates can fluctuate but never experienced a freeze or crash. Given my experience with both console and emulator versions of many of these games, I've come to expect major technical hiccups from time to time but so far, these builds of each game seem to be most definitive versions yet. It's a nitpick but I wish they could have stretched the post-NES titles to full screen so the Banjo and Perfect Dark titles didn't stand out as much as they already do, being the Xbox 360 versions.

    Sound: 9/10 Each game sounds good for it's time. Rare never lacked for competent music composers and it's easy to see here. Each game has it's own style and the menu tracks help add dimension to the pre-NES titles, so even the less technical tunes don't feel out of place. Every tune, every sound effect feels nostalgic and creative. It makes me nostalgic every time I play an older game to listen to soundtracks made before every game had an orchestrated soundtrack. The intro tune is infectiously catchy too.

    Value: 10/10 For $30 you get a handful of some of the best games ever made, and about 20 more worth playing just for the experience of seeing how far we've come in three decades. When you consider that Microsoft could have spent the next year slowly leaking each Rare Replay title onto the Xbox Live Marketplace for $5 each, the value becomes immediately apparent. Until the release of Rare Replay, it would cost over $1000 to play all these titles legitimately, and this is where the true value in Rare Replay shines. Making these old title available to the masses is a much needed step in the preservation of these great ole games.

    The concept in and of itself is a noble and ambitious one to say the least. It serves as both a solid tribute to Rare as a studio, and a glimpse at popular genres and graphic styles evolution. Rare Replay sets the standard for what will be expected from retro game compilations moving forward, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Anyone who plays video games as a hobby, owes it to themselves to pick up Rare Replay.    … Expand

The games previously released on XBLA will download one by one, and THEN Rare Replay itself will begin downloading. Once everything's done, you're ready to play. The old XBLA games will reboot in an Xbox 360 emulation. One issue isI won't be reviewing the games themselves, but rather the implementation of them as a whole. Remember that you need at least 8GB to download this collection. The games previously released on XBLA will download one by one, and THEN Rare Replay itself will begin downloading. Once everything's done, you're ready to play. The old XBLA games will reboot in an Xbox 360 emulation. One issue is that there's no way to resize your screen, which means some of the text/games will be cut off. And now, on to my biggest complaint; the menus. They're incredibly slow and unresponsive. As a matter of fact, they're prone to FREEZING. I've had this happen on multiple occasions. It's incredibly frustrating to navigate, and a real shame they're so badly implemented. It makes the overall product/experience feel rushed.

    Other gaming collections like Namco Museum or Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on the Xbox 360 do a FAR superior job in bringing those old games back with functional menus/UI and gives an overall smoother experience. Not so with Rare Replay. A bit disappointing, considering we've got stronger hardware to work with on the Xbox One.    … Expand

    Relación calidad precio insuperable. 30 juegos iconicos de una de las compañias mas míticas de la industria del videojuego. No le doy el "diez" porque en varios de sus juegos se apoya en la retrocompatibilidad de la consola con la xbox360 y personalmente opino que no presentan su mejor aspecto. Además algunos juegos llegan en ingles cuando en su dia vinieron localizados a nuestro idioma.

    Absolutamente una compra obligada por su relación calidad-precio. Cierto que no incluyen mejoras gráficas pero por extras y cantidad de juegos nos puede alegrar muchísimas tardes. Es casi imposible que no encuentres alguno que te encante. El único defecto "importante" es lo mal integrado que está el juego en la interfaz del xbox, dejando algunos en la misma interfaz de xbox y otros soloAbsolutamente una compra obligada por su relación calidad-precio. Cierto que no incluyen mejoras gráficas pero por extras y cantidad de juegos nos puede alegrar muchísimas tardes. Es casi imposible que no encuentres alguno que te encante. El único defecto "importante" es lo mal integrado que está el juego en la interfaz del xbox, dejando algunos en la misma interfaz de xbox y otros solo accesibles dentro del propio juego.… Expand

    A great collection of classics that for many players represents the best way to experience what Rare was back in the day. Some great titles of the Nintendo era are missing (for obvious reasons) but what is there is more than enough to have lots and lots of fun. Also, the new challenges are sure to amuse the best players out there.
